Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 141

Lindsey shook him off at once. "Zayn Guggenheim! What the hell are you doing?!"

Zayn was about to go crazy. The thought that Lindsey might be with another man made him lose control.

He initially wanted to stay away from her and give her a peaceful life, but he simply could not overcome the urge in his heart. He then realized that it was simply impossible for him to let go of her, even if he was dead.

"I have something to ask you." Zayn did not care about anything else and looked incredibly stubborn and resolute.

Lindsey avoided him. "Zayn Guggenheim! That's enough!"

Next to her, Allie also reacted and pushed Zayn away as she said, "What are you doing?"

Lindsey pulled Allie behind her. Seeing Zayn in this state, he was probably agitated by something. Lindsey whispered to Allie, "You should go back first. We’ll come shopping tomorrow."

Allie was hesitant, but Lindsey patted her shoulders and said, “It’s fine. You can leave first.”

She bit her lip and shook her head. "I'm worried about you."

When Zayn saw Lindsey’s attitude toward Allie, what came to his mind was whether she was more gentle and patient with Liam Wilford.

Jealousy swept away all his sanity, which made him pull Lindsey over. "Lindsey Juhl! You’d better remember that as long as we’re not divorced, you’re still my wife!"

"Then are you ready to get divorced now? I've been ready for a long time." Lindsey said indifferently.

"Lindsey Juhl, do you even have a heart?" Zayn was irritated by Lindsey's words and could not help but growl, which startled her.

Zayn continued with gloomy eyes, "I told you before that unless I die, you’ll always be mine!"

"Then why don't you go and die?" Lindsey could not control her mouth and shouted at him, "Zayn Guggenheim! Why don’t you just go to hell?!"

Zayn suddenly laughed. He could no longer conceal the pain in his eyes. "Lindsey, do you really hate me that much? Do you want me dead so badly?"

The man’s gaze was lowered so Lindsey could not see his expression, but she clearly heard the deep sorrow in his low, hoarse voice. "Then I’ll do as you wish, but even if I die, I still won’t divorce you."

Lindsey was stunned. She did not dare to go into the meaning of his words. In the next second, Allie, who was beside her, suddenly exclaimed.

"Zayn!"

Lindsey came back to her senses and found that Zayn was already standing in the middle of the road.

There were no cars on the lane near Lindsey's side, but where Zayn was standing, a heavy truck was driving towards him and was only a few meters away.

It was too late to brake with such a short distance at such a fast speed.

However, Zayn looked fearless as he stood there. He looked at Lindsey with warmth and affection in his eyes. He smiled gently and his thin lips parted to utter a few inaudible words.

Lindsey was fiercely shaken.

The drivers nearby saw Zayn appear in the middle of the road and slammed on the brakes or changed lanes at the last minute.

However, the heavy truck could not.

The truck driver also noticed the man who suddenly appeared in front of him and fumbled to step on the brakes.

He stepped so hard that the emergency brake made a loud screeching noise.

In the nick of time, Lindsey, who should have been startled alongside Allie, somehow got the courage and strength to sprint towards Zayn. She narrowly avoided a car that was driving towards her, then, with her arms around Zayn, she rolled to the side with all her might.

The sound of tires rubbing against the road was extremely close to their ears.
