Forbidden novel Chapter 9

After those two simple words that came out of Travis’s mouth I found it hard to sleep, I mean my heart was beating so fast that it felt like it was about to break my rib cage and still now, it’s still beating so fast.

All night his words echoed inside my head.

This isn’t good, I mean… I’m happy that he likes me but… we’re going to be future brother and sister, he’s a big no-no boundary, he’s someone forbidden… and I need to make sure I make that boundary line clear so that I will be able to stop myself from… falling for him again.

I think I’ve been hurt enough… I don’t want to get hurt again… not anymore… it’s really painful, loving him that is and I can’t keep doing that anymore.

I need to give up on him, no—I have to, we were never meant to be together and it’s better that way… but the way his arm warmly wrapped around me was making it hard and difficult for me not to.

Just for tonight… then tomorrow I’ll bid my feelings for him goodbye.

Although I only had a few hours of sleep I must say I slept very well.

I was about to get up when suddenly I just realised that there was a very and I mean very strong bulky arm wrapped around my waist.

I thought about it when suddenly memory of last night came flashing back to me… right, how could I

forget?

It’s the day I have to say goodbye right…?

I turned to my side and looked at Travis’s sleeping figure, he looks so peaceful… so beautiful…

I don’t know what happened next but all hell broke loose.

“Mare” I heard Andy’s voice and just as he opens the door my lips are already plastered against Travis’s.

“What on earth is going on here?” Andy questioned as I quickly pulled away from Travis and turned my horror filled face as I saw Andy standing there with a shock filled expression on his face.

Of course, I mean who wouldn’t be shocked with our current position.

I looked at Andy with wide eyes and turn to check if Travis was awake.

Relief flooded in me as I find out that he hasn’t woke up yet.

“Don’t worry I already know what you’re gonna’ say but I swear that nothing happened, I was just scared last night and Travis stayed with me, nothing is going on between us… it’s only one-sided but there is nothing for you to worry about… I have already planned to end my feelings for him anyway.” I said as I dare to look up to him, his eyes filled with worry and pity.

“You know I trust you Mare, but you’re a woman and Travis is a man, things like this are about to happen but I expected more from you…” he said as he take another sip from his drink.

“Sorry… don’t tell mom, you know how she is…” I begged and he nodded simply.

“I trust you Mare” he said and I just nodded at him.

“Why are you back so early anyway?” I asked trying to change the subject.

“Well I was planning on asking you for help for the wedding and stuff, I got the venue and

everything… I made an excuse to your mom and came home as soon as I can to plan everything so

that when she comes back it’ll be a big surprise” he beamed and I smiled at him.

“Sure” I said as I agree to help him.
