Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1703

Jackson was covered in wounds—so many that even someone slightly uneasy about clusters would be freaked out.

"Brother," Fiona's voice was a bit raspy, clearly from all the distress she'd been through. "I'm late."

Jackson shook his head, noticing how much weight Fiona had lost. It was clear she hadn't been eating or sleeping well lately.

"Fiona, you shouldn't have come," Jackson sighed, then added, "I'm alright, really. Don't worry about me."

Fiona's cousin, however, was unimpressed. To him, Jackson's kidnapping was a Woods family issue, and Fiona had no business sticking her nose in.

"Fiona, didn't you swear you'd never set foot in the States again?"

Suddenly, she looked up, her bright eyes flashing with determination. "You've got three minutes to let the Stonnell family know you saw me."

"What?"

While he was still trying to wrap his head around it, Fiona had already started the countdown.

"You dare to mess with me? Aren't you scared of the Stonnell family coming after you?"

"Coming after me?" Fiona stood up, delivering a swift kick to her cousin's stomach, making him wince in agony. A blade popped out from her shoe, and she slashed him a few times.

Blood quickly soaked through his clothes, but she was careful not to kill him. She wasn't about to let them off easy after all the suffering Jackson had been through.
