Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1688

The Bryant family was caught completely off guard, unable to process what had just unfolded. All they saw was everyone at the doorway sprawled out on the ground.

In a flash, anger surged through them towards Fiona and her crew. They eyed Jasmine like a pack of ravenous wolves, ready to pounce.

"Jasmine, what on earth is going on?" an elderly woman demanded, pointing a finger at Fiona with fiery eyes, as if she was about to tear Jasmine apart. "Your grandmother is in this state because of you, and you bring people here to disturb her rest? What’s your game?"

Jasmine looked up, her eyes sparking with a hint of anger. With a cool and slightly mocking tone, she replied, "Aunt Sarah, why are you so quick to point fingers? You've got guards at the door, but there's a whole crowd here making a racket and disturbing Grandma's peace. Quite the scheme you've got there."

No one in the room was naive; everyone saw through the situation, including Fiona. The Bryant family’s internal squabbles were far more intricate than she had anticipated.

Most of the folks standing there wielded considerable influence within the Bryant clan.

"I've brought in an expert to treat Grandma. If Aunt Sarah keeps blocking the way, Jasmine might just have to call in the Bryant family elders to sort this out."

All eyes quickly turned to Fiona. She was bundled up tight, making it hard to make out who she was, apart from her height.

Fiona stole a glance at the bedridden Bryant matriarch, but her view was swiftly obstructed.
