Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1641

The knock on the door was so intense it seemed like the maid might actually break it down. Zoe's hand jerked, smudging her bright red lipstick past the corner of her mouth.

"Who is it?" she yelled, her voice sharp with irritation. Today was supposed to be her perfect day, and here they were, causing chaos and messing up her makeup.

"What could possibly be so urgent that you're acting like this? If you can't explain, I'll have you tossed overboard to feed the sharks."

Zoe shot a furious glance over her shoulder, dabbing at the lipstick smudge with a makeup wipe. She had waited forever for this day, and it was on the brink of being ruined.

Getting more furious by the second, she tossed the makeup wipe aside and stormed over to the maid, delivering a swift slap before kicking her to the floor.

"Speak. What's going on?"

"Ms. Aisha, the livestream is blowing up. They're saying... they're saying you've been shameless..."

Zoe snapped upright, her brows knitting together as she grabbed the maid's chin. "What did you just say? Are you out of your mind?"

"No, Ms. Aisha, it’s all over the internet. They’re saying you got involved with someone at the hotel two nights ago, and there’s a clear video. It's gone viral, and even during today's engagement livestream, people are saying Mr. Woods deserves better."

"What?"

Zoe was stunned. Her mind went blank for a moment.

Wait, if the guy from two nights ago wasn't Jackson, then who was it? She distinctly remembered hearing Jackson’s voice and seeing him in person. How could it not have been him?

Doubt crept in. Frantically, she grabbed her phone from the table. The news was spreading faster than she could unlock her device.

How could Jackson do this to her? Even if he wasn't into her, there was no need to stoop so low. How could he be so heartless, leaving her with no dignity? How was she supposed to face the world now?

And Fiona, she must be mixed up in this somehow. Otherwise, even if Jackson bore a grudge, he wouldn't have gone this far.

"Ms. Aisha, we've reached the engagement island, but..."

"But what? Just spit it out!"

She was already seething, and at this point, there was little she couldn't handle.

"Nash now demands an explanation from the Larkin family."
