Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1622

Theft is a big deal, especially in a school. Yvenne limped back to her dorm from the nurse’s office, only to find chaos. One roommate was picking up trash from the floor, while the other was crying her eyes out. Even Keaton seemed fed up with all the noise.

“What’s going on here...?”

Yvenne rushed to her closet, only to find it practically empty except for a nightgown and a few everyday outfits.

“Yvenne, try not to stress too much,” one of the girls tried to reassure her. “The class advisor said they’ve called Fiona back to school. Maybe we should just put an extra lock on our closets from now on!”

Hearing this, Yvenne pressed her lips together, clearly upset.

“I can’t believe Fiona would do something like this. We weren’t exactly close, but I didn’t think she’d go that far. Plus, we have no proof, and it’s unfair to accuse someone without evidence.”

“What do you mean, 'go that far'? We all know what she’s like. Yvenne, you’re known for being kind and easygoing, but this needs to be sorted out.”

Still frustrated, the other girl vented by posting about the incident on the school forum. She didn’t mention Fiona’s name, but anyone could put two and two together.

A couple of hours later, Fiona returned to school in a surprisingly good mood, having just enjoyed a killer steak cooked by Jackson.

“Oh, look who decided to show up,” one girl remarked sarcastically upon seeing her. “Seems like you’ve been living it up.”

“Who wouldn’t? Maybe she sold our stuff and took an early vacation to splurge,” another added.

After catching up on what happened, Fiona realized they thought she was the thief. This was her chance to clear things up once and for all.

Keaton’s voice was firm. This kind of thing never happened at Westbrook High School. It was outrageous, with the thief crying wolf.

As Keaton lectured sternly, Fiona sat quietly on her bed, staring out the window.

People can be flawed. When someone loses their moral compass and acts out of jealousy and spite, they can do anything. Yvenne was one of those people.

But Fiona didn’t give her much thought—a clown like that wasn’t worth her time.

...

After leaving school, Fiona headed straight to the Regency Palace. Jackson was at work, and she kicked back on the sofa, scrolling through the latest trending news to kill time.
