Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1621

Keaton stood there, taking the verbal hits in silence.

“No worries, Mr. Smith. I’m really good in Class Nineteen. My classmates and I get along great, and they’re all really kind to me,” Yvenne said, flashing a bright smile. She had to stay put in Class Nineteen. It was the only way she could edge Fiona out. Why should Fiona get to enjoy all the perks?

“Yvenne, with those injuries, are you sure you want to stay and risk getting picked on again in Class Nineteen?”

“No, Mr. Smith. I trust Mr. Keaton to handle things properly. I wasn't bullied.”

Seeing her determination, the teacher trying to convince Yvenne to change classes decided to drop the subject.

Yvenne's words had transferred all the pressure onto Keaton. Now, dealing with Fiona became a real tightrope walk.

Just then, a girl burst into the room, breathless and sweaty, standing at the doorway. “Guys... something bad... our dorm's been robbed!”

All the teachers turned to her, but Keaton was the first to speak up, “What's going on?”

She took a moment to catch her breath before she could explain.

“Mr. Keaton, I share a dorm with Yvonne. Another girl and I just got back and found our stuff had been messed with. My new skincare set and headphones are gone. Plus, Yvonne’s locker was open. She had just bought new clothes and shoes that were in there, and they're missing too.”

“What?” Yvenne shot up, wincing as she accidentally tugged at the bandage on her forehead. “Is the small red gift box in my locker still there?”

The girl thought for a second, then shook her head, “I don’t remember. Let me check with the other girl in the dorm.”

Soon enough, she turned back to Yvenne, shaking her head, “She said there’s nothing left in your locker.”

“I think there are surveillance cameras on the dorm stairwell,” Keaton noted. He stood up and said, “I’ll check the footage with the dorm supervisor.”

“I’m coming too,” Yvenne said, hurrying out.

......

In the dorm’s surveillance room, since no students were on leave that morning and it was class time, the only one who had returned was Fiona.

In the stairwell footage, only Fiona and Jackson appeared. Jackson was helping with her suitcase, and they were chatting and laughing as they descended the stairs.

The surveillance didn’t capture audio, so there was no way to hear their conversation, and with no signs of forced entry, Fiona was looking like the main suspect.
