Davis glanced over at Nathan, hoping for some backup, but Nathan just shrugged him off, clearly not interested in getting involved.
With no other option, Davis took a deep breath and tried again, "Miss Luna, that's not what we meant. Please don't... twist my words."
Ethan arched an eyebrow, amusement glinting in her eyes, "Oh, so now you're saying I'm just making a fuss about nothing?"
Davis felt like he was going to cry; that wasn't his intention at all!
"If that's what you think, then let me give you a real scene to talk about." Ethan strode over to the hospital bed and eyed Jenna up and down, "So, you're Jenna? Wrapped up like a mummy and still causing trouble. Do you need to be completely breathless before you'll behave?"
She clicked her tongue, "With that sorry look, even ghosts would shake their heads at you. And you thought you could mess with my friend Flora? Do you really think you're up to it?"
Jenna shook with fury. How could Ethan talk to her like that?
Just because she was the heiress of the Falcone family, did that give her the right to treat people this way?
"Miss Luna, it was Flora who did this to me! I'm the one who's been wronged, and now I might never be able to hold a scalpel again!" Jenna's voice cracked as tears spilled out, "Just because Flora’s got a higher status, because you all do, you think it's okay to push people around?"
"Why the tears? I haven’t even started with you yet." Ethan paused, "Besides, isn't using your power to push people around your specialty?"
"And another thing—"
Ethan stopped beside the bed, grabbed the kettle from the nightstand, popped it open, and swiftly tipped it over.
Ethan moved so fast, and no one expected her to go through with it; by the time Davis realized what was happening, it was too late!
Boiling water cascaded onto Jenna!
"Ah!"
Jenna's gut-wrenching screams echoed through the hospital room!
He thought to himself, it might be time to erase Jenna's family from the Neville family records.
Davis was seething, almost spitting blood!
Now that the White family had crumbled, only three of the major families remained. With the Washington family staying out of things, the Luna and Falcone families were in charge.
Their word could indeed make him vanish from Lone Island.
Davis had no choice but to swallow his anger, his jaw clenched, "Now that Miss Luna has had her revenge and my daughter has been punished, can we call it a day?"
"What's the hurry?" Ethan tilted her chin up, "The show's not over yet."
Davis felt his insides twist with frustration; it wasn't over yet?
