Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 523

Selene’s actions didn’t annoy him; if anything, Harrison found them rather amusing.

Once, their marriage had been like a stagnant pond—still and untouched—because both knew that if anyone dared stir those waters, all the filth beneath would rise to the surface. Now, though, it wasn’t stagnant anymore. It was a raging sea, and every move Selene made sent waves crashing, threatening to swallow Harrison whole.

Call him shameless or accuse him of being downright twisted, but he felt no shame in letting Selene witness his desires. After all, it wasn’t as if she hadn’t seen it before.

Now, as Harrison sat across from her, a cold metallic gleam flickered in his eyes. He watched Selene with a curious intensity, wondering what bold move she’d make next.

“I just want you to behave yourself,” Selene said, snapping her laptop closed.

Her voice was all business, icy and detached. “If you don’t want this little video clip to end up on some foreign website—where people might recognize you and your reputation could take a hit—then stay out of my life.”

“Is that a threat?” Harrison asked, his deep voice edged with a teasing challenge.

Selene didn’t hesitate. “Yes, it’s a threat. A good ex is one who’s dead and buried, not one who keeps popping up everywhere I go—or sends drones to spy on my place.”

She met his gaze, her words sharp and deliberate. “Harrison, you’re being pathetic.”

He tilted his chin, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.

She wasn’t wrong. Maybe he was being a little pathetic.

“I’m not a model ex-husband, and I don’t intend to be,” he said. “First off, congratulations—you managed to get a video that could ruin my reputation. Even if you post it online, I won’t sue you. At least then, everyone will see just how much I still miss my ex-wife.”

Selene felt nothing at his words. If anything, she almost wanted to laugh.

“So, what—you regret divorcing me now?” she asked.

He shook his head. “If we hadn’t split, our marriage would still be as dead and dull as ever. Honestly, it’s thanks to me that you’ve become who you are now. Since the divorce, you’ve finally started to stand out to me.”

Selene stuffed her laptop into her bag and zipped it shut. “Harrison, don’t test my limits. I’m dealing with someone who’s practically a sociopath.”
