Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 524

Harrison’s gaze was locked on Selene’s face, a sly smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

“Well then, you’re responsible. Why don’t you help me put out this fire?”

He was surprised at how every movement Selene made seemed to draw him in. The heart he’d always thought to be frozen and barren was now erupting with molten heat, all because of her.

In the past, Selene had never dared defy him like this.

Whenever he suggested dinner, she’d not only agree—she’d go out of her way to serve him, placing his favorite dishes onto his plate, making sure he had everything he liked.

But now? She wouldn’t even sit down at the table with him, wouldn’t even pretend she wanted to share a meal.

And yet, watching the way she resisted him, seeing that fierce defiance flare up in her eyes, Harrison felt his blood roar through his veins, hotter and wilder than ever.

Maybe he was just asking for trouble. If Selene ever plunged a knife straight into his chest, he’d probably only find himself more exhilarated.

Selene picked up her phone and glanced at the time, silently counting down in her mind.

“Did you really think you could trap me like this?”

She was no longer the woman she’d once been—the Mrs. Vaughn who’d drawn chalk lines around herself, waiting patiently for Harrison to finally turn and see her.

Suddenly, the door to the private room burst open with a bang. Luke Holloway strode in, dressed in black and camo, radiating a cold, lethal energy.

The moment she saw Luke, Selene headed straight for the door.

Luke stood in the doorway, so tall and broad-shouldered he blocked out almost all the light behind him. His shadow spilled into the room, heavy and oppressive.
