Laney observed Emmy's expression and sighed in admiration. "Like mother, like daughter. Both of you are absolute titans in the AI field. It is like watching gods clash!" Pointing at the bionic replica, Laney excitedly babbled on. "The upgraded DUO android's core processing power is completely on par with your Infinity drone system. The only problem is the manufacturing cost is astronomically high. A single unit easily sells for tens or even hundreds of millions, completely out of reach for the average consumer. Because of that, this fully bionic line has not managed to break into the mainstream market yet."
Then, Laney shifted gears, the shrewd ambition of a businesswoman flashing in her eyes. "However, the scaled down DUO butler and nanny robots have completely exploded in the domestic market! Demand is so high that factory orders are backed up until next year." Leaning forward, Laney looked at Emmy with desperate hope. "Emmy, aside from coming here as a fan, I also wanted to speak with you personally about a business proposition. My resources are primarily based overseas, and I want to secure the international distribution rights for the DUO robots. So, I was hoping you could introduce me to your mother. Would that be alright?"
Emmy paused, a thousand thoughts racing through her mind. She thought of Laney's father, Andrew. His deep, enduring, and silent love for Emmy's mother was a poorly kept secret in their circles. She worried about what might happen if Laney discovered the truth. Would she be able to accept it? Emmy hesitated for a moment. But when she looked back up and met Laney's bright, earnest eyes, her heart softened. It was the purest form of ambition from a young entrepreneur staring down top tier technology and a massive market.
Sighing softly, Emmy could not bear to reject the fan who had traveled thousands of miles just to support her. She nodded. "Alright."
Laney nearly jumped out of her skin with joy. "That is amazing! Thank you so much! You are an absolute goddess!"
After that, the bionic android performed two more songs on stage. They were both currently dominating the pop charts. But as Emmy sat quietly and listened, she gently shook her head. Turning to Laney, she whispered, "The first song she sang was still the best."
Laney's eyes lit up. Scratching her head in embarrassment, she laughed. "You have great taste, Emmy. That first song was an original I wrote myself. I do not have many hobbies while living abroad, so I just like locking myself in my room and writing music."
