"Vespera!" Luke shouted through clenched teeth.

"Shut up! Don't start with your crazy talk again. Quit running your mouth with nonsense," snapped Vespera, stopping Luke before he said those humiliating words.

If Luke blurted out that Vespera was pregnant again, Dominic might actually believe the medicine hadn't worked and insist on taking her for a pregnancy test himself.

Dominic frowned. He hadn't expected the person Vespera was avoiding to be Luke. Hadn't Luke been quiet for a while? Why was he suddenly back, acting this way again? What had triggered him this time?

Luke stared at Vespera for a long moment, then snorted and said, "I understand now."

Since Vespera didn't want him to speak, it meant that she didn't want Dominic to know about the baby. She clearly hadn't decided to keep it. At least, she still had a shred of rationality.

"We were married once. Do you have to be this cold? Even if you don't care about me, at least consider how much effort you poured into that project," said Luke."
