After some small talk, Vespera headed to the kitchen to brew a pot of Earl Grey tea. On the way, she gave Dominic a call.

The moment Dominic heard Evelyna and Vance had come over, there was a short pause on the line. Then, he replied that he would return as soon as he could.

Vespera ended the call and returned to the living area with the tea. Since Dominic wasn't home yet, she needed to keep the guests company. So, she had no choice but to sit down and chat.

Evelyn and Vespera talked about Dominic's high school days.

Evelyn said, "Vera, did you know? Back in high school, Dominic was crazy popular. Both girls and boys admired him, but he never dated anyone. Vance and I were convinced he liked boys. He was so reserved and quiet. So, we thought he was too shy to be open about his sexuality.

"So, during summer camp one year, I introduced him to a cute boy. After that, he ignored me for half a month! Even Vance was mad at me and didn't talk to me for days."

Both girls and boys had crushes on Dominic? It wasn't surprising. But never dated anyone? What about Nancy? And Evelyn tried to set him up with a cute boy? He wasn't even into that.

Evelyn mentioned that both Dominic and Vance were angry. Vespera could understand why Dominic was angry, but why was Vance angry too? Vance had a fiancée, and she was literally a supermodel.

Vance replied, "She's too heartless."

Evelyn said, "Dominic likes her."
