"Good morning," responded Dominic. Then, he said casually, "You got drunk at the party last night and threw up in your room. There are only four bedrooms in the villa, so I brought you to mine."
"Thank you," stammered Vespera, clearly flustered.
Her brain still hadn't fully rebooted, and she couldn't remember what had happened last night. If she could, she wouldn't only feel flustered. She would probably want to dig a hole and bury herself.
Dominic added, "Your clothes are in my walk-in closet."
In response, Vespera nodded stiffly and replied, "Huh? Oh, alright."
After all, their last conversation hadn't exactly ended on a high note.
Seeing Vespera look like she wanted to vanish under the covers, Dominic raised an eyebrow and said, "If you aren't feeling well, you can take the day off."
Vespera hurriedly answered, "I'm fine. I don't need to rest."
"Alright then. I'll head out first. You can take your time," said Dominic.
Vespera nodded her head continuously.
Once the door clicked shut, Vespera let out a sigh of relief. What was going on? She sat up and then froze as the covers slipped down, revealing she was completely naked underneath. Her eyes instantly widened.
Did they have sex last night? No, that couldn't be right.
Every time they had done it, Vespera would be sore the next day, like she had been hit by a truck. But now, she felt completely fine.
So, why did Dominic take off her clothes?
Vespera yanked the covers up to her chest. Then, she tried to recall what had happened last night. And then…
Her memory was unlocked, and it wasn't a good thing.
Every embarrassing moment came rushing back in a brutal ten-minute montage of humiliation. Vespera screamed in silence countless times. In the end, she hugged the covers and plopped back down on the bed. The recollection of memory made her lose her mind, and she seemed to be in despair. She was emotionally and spiritually dead.
