Drunk and Daring I Kissed a Tycoon novel Chapter 393

Emily had been in the middle of explaining herself to Dominic when he answered the phone.

The instant she saw his expression shift, her words froze in her throat.

"Mr. Reid, please, listen to me—"

"Shut up," Dominic interrupted, his eyes burning through her. "Tell me now—are there any pools, ponds, or bodies of water on the property?"

His glare was so intense that Emily's mind went blank for a moment. "Y-Yes... There's an indoor pool on the first floor, and a lotus pond in the garden. That's all, I swear."

Without hesitation, Dominic sent a team to sweep the pool while he headed straight for the lotus pond.

If Fawn had managed to make a call for help, it meant she had likely made it outside, which aligned with Emily's earlier statement—that Fawn had already left.

As Dominic moved through the estate, one of his men reported that the signal jammer had been successfully taken down.

Dominic immediately dialed Calvert's number.

Calvert was speaking with Rebecca when he saw Dominic's call come through.

Without letting Rebecca finish explaining the hiding spot, he cut in. "I need to take this call from Mr. Reid. Don't worry, I'll pick you up soon."

He ended the call abruptly and immediately answered Dominic's.

Anxious about being reprimanded, he rushed to explain, "Vespera and the others are safe. They've made it out. I'm on my way to get them now."

"Forget about them. Head straight to the lotus pond in the east garden—now. Mrs. Reid has fallen into the water!"

"Understood."

With that, Calvert ended the call and raced toward the east garden.

He had noticed the lotus pond earlier that evening on his way in.

Meanwhile, Rebecca was left waiting, receiving no follow-up call.

When Dominic reached the lotus pond, Calvert was already hauling Fawn out of the water.

Both of them were streaked with mud.

Fawn had no idea how she'd ended up in the pond—panic had clouded her senses, and she'd lost her footing.

Thankfully, she could swim.

But the weight of her soaked gown made every movement a battle.

After what felt like an eternity of struggling, she'd managed to crawl to the edge, only to black out from sheer exhaustion.
