"Shh!"
Coralie's face changed drastically as she quickly made a shushing gesture.
"A top?"
The manager stared blankly for a few seconds before exclaiming in surprise. "The Governor is a top? Understood! I'll pick out a more delicate one then!"
Coralie felt a chill run down her spine. She had no idea if the Governor had heard that.
Channing, of course, heard every word!
And he quickly realized what these two were "conspiring" to do.
Bring him what?
A boy toy?
Very well, Coralie!
"Let's go, let's go!" Coralie really wanted to punch her manager in the face for being so clueless.
She was telling him to shut up, not answering his question about the Governor's... preferred position.
Her original plan had been to keep a handsome guy by her side and casually present him to the Governor.
If the Governor showed interest, she would smoothly offer him as a gift.
It wouldn't have been too abrupt.
But now, she hadn't even seen the Governor's face.
Much less figured out his preferences.
If the rumors were false and he had zero interest in men, randomly sending him one would completely backfire!
Based on his attitude just now, he seemed very supportive of her orphanage project.
Pulling a stunt like this would definitely offend him!
"Huh?"
The manager was still in a daze, about to ask for clarification.
When from behind the screen, the deep, magnetic male voice echoed.
"Did Ms. Quill bring me a gift?"
"!"
The manager's jaw dropped, snapping shut a second later as his eyes widened in horror toward Coralie.
His gaze was screaming: *Is that the Governor? Is the Governor talking?!*
They were doomed. Completely doomed.
The manager's face crumpled as he shot her a pitiful, dramatic look of pure despair.
Coralie slapped her forehead, wishing the ground would swallow her whole. She slowly turned around, forcing a painfully stiff smile.
"Yes, I brought you a gift. I'll have someone send it in shortly."
