"Oh."
Coralie Quill pressed her lips together and didn't press the issue. "Let's go."
—
Eclara City.
To make it convenient for Coralie to visit whenever she wanted, Jimmie Tate and Luella Langley had bought her a new place a while ago.
After their plane landed, the two headed straight to the new apartment.
It was decorated in the fresh, minimalist style that Coralie loved.
"You're here early?"
Answering the phone, Luella ran a hand through her hair and frowned. "Ah man, the furniture hasn't all been delivered yet."
She had assumed Coralie would arrive in a couple of days.
Coralie took a lap around the place. Seeing the empty guest room and study, she was completely dumbfounded.
Only the master bedroom was fully furnished; the other rooms didn't even have beds installed yet.
"The company hasn't delivered the rest, and it'll take two days to install everything once they do."
Luella sat on her sofa, crossing her legs with a mischievous laugh. "The bed in the master bedroom is huge, though. It definitely fits two."
Coralie looked up, glancing at Channing Irving, who was busy carrying their luggage inside.
"Honestly, the way you and that pretty boy interact, you basically act like you're dating anyway," Luella said boldly. "If worst comes to worst, just share the bedroom."
"That bed is super soft, you guys could give it a test drive, hehehe."
Coralie was speechless and couldn't even formulate a reply.
It was too late, and they had too much stuff. Coralie couldn't bear the thought of packing up and moving to a hotel now.
Once all the bags were inside.
Channing realized there was only one bed in the entire apartment.
Even the sofa hadn't been delivered.
He stood in the living room, his deep eyes subtly shifting toward Coralie.
It had been two months since they last shared a bed.
He wasn't going anywhere.
When Coralie looked up, she was met directly with the man's pitiful gaze.
It was 11:00 PM. If she kicked him out now, who knew how long it would take him to find a hotel?
"I'm going to take a shower."
Coralie pursed her lips, turning her back to him as she spoke.
Did that mean he could sleep there too?
"Understood."
