Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1900

It seemed... she really needed to see her doctor again.

Even though she genuinely felt exhausted and sometimes wished she could just end it all.

She had just found her family. She hadn't spent nearly enough time with them.

And the casino—she hadn't fully finalized her succession plans yet.

Dying now would be incredibly irresponsible.

With that in mind.

Coralie pulled out her phone and dialed her therapist. "I need to talk."

——

An hour later.

Coralie walked into the private psychiatric clinic.

The man greeting her was a highly experienced therapist in his late fifties with graying hair.

"Ms. Quill, it's been a while." Seeing her, the doctor looked a bit surprised, offering a warm, grandfatherly smile. "What brings you in... I thought I'd never see you again."

After all, she had been incredibly stable for the past three years.

He genuinely thought she had pulled through the darkest times.

"Sorry to bother you again." Coralie sat across from him, her face pale as she detailed exactly what she had been going through.

Lethargy.

Nausea.

Random crying spells.

"Aside from this, have you noticed any other symptoms?" the doctor asked, taking careful notes.

"Nope."

Coralie thought for a second, then added with a faint, self-deprecating laugh, "Well, I still have moments of wanting to just end it all."

"Nonsense."

The doctor gave her a gentle, reprimanding look. Despite the scolding, his tone was incredibly kind. "You promised me you wouldn't throw those words around casually."

"Okay, okay."

Coralie threw her hands up in surrender, propping her chin on her hand. "Is my condition getting worse? Do we need to up my dosage again?"

They had been slowly weaning her off her meds...

"I have a few questions for you. They might be a bit personal, is that alright?"
