"Ms. Payne, we've thoroughly investigated the Sherwin family," Flint said respectfully. "You were right. Sherwin Group was doing exceptionally well up until two years ago. Then, all of a sudden, it started tanking."
"It looks prosperous on the outside, but it's completely hollow on the inside."
One strong gust of wind, and the whole thing could collapse.
"Keep going," Juniper drawled lazily, narrowing her eyes.
"The current chairman of the group, Malcolm Sherwin, is arrogant and constantly suppresses the board members."
Flint looked over the investigation report, sounding a bit agitated. "Many of the veterans who helped Lemuel Sherwin build the empire were ruthlessly fired by him. The entire company is furious but too afraid to speak up."
"And..."
Flint paused here, coughing awkwardly. "Malcolm is keeping a D-list celebrity on the side, and she's currently eight months pregnant with his son."
"His wife... Frigga, isn't exactly innocent either. She's been having a passionate fling with her personal trainer."
"And finally, there's Yolanda Sherwin." Flint paused again.
Juniper was growing impatient and groaned, "Flint, if you can't spit it out, I can ask Shanley to find a new assistant."
"No, no, no."
Terrified, Flint blurted it all out in one breath. "After Yolanda lost her marriage alliance with the Lonsdale family, she hooked up with the CEO of a listed company. He's very wealthy, but married."
He honestly just felt this entire family was completely unhinged.
Genetics were a wild thing.
Truly powerful.
"Ms. Payne, when are we making our move on the Sherwins?"
Flint pressed. "If this keeps up, Sherwin Group's reputation will be completely destroyed."
For Lemuel Sherwin's sake, Ms. Payne definitely wouldn't want to see that happen.
"Send the evidence you've gathered to the Sherwin couple—send his to her, and hers to him."
Juniper parted her lips, speaking flatly. "It would be best if they caused a scene at the board meeting. As for Yolanda..."
Juniper thought for a moment, her voice crisp. "Tell the guy's wife. Let her teach Yolanda a lesson."
"Understood." Getting the picture, Flint asked cautiously, "Ms. Payne, do you have any other orders?"
"No," Juniper replied.
