"Mr. Schwartz, Juniper..." Warren Sherwin immediately stood up the moment he saw them. His face was pale as he greeted them, "You made it. Please, have a seat."
"Show me the security footage," Juniper demanded, her voice ice-cold. She was in no mood for pleasantries.
"It's ready." Warren immediately had someone bring over a laptop. The footage had been split into multiple segments for easier viewing.
"I'll look through it with you," Shanley said, offering Warren a polite nod. He took a seat next to Juniper. Operating two laptops simultaneously, they began to comb through the videos.
Warren stood off to the side, too anxious to sit. The heavy atmosphere in the room made it hard to breathe.
"You should sit down, Mr. Sherwin," Shanley said, his voice low. "It's going to take some time to review all of this."
Warren glanced at Juniper. The young woman's face was pale, and her fingers were flying across the keyboard, the keys clacking rapidly under her assault.
"Sit down and rest," Juniper said coldly, noticing his gaze.
Warren pressed his thin lips together. Just as he hesitated, Juniper added, "My sister, Ebony Fox, will be here soon. If you don't rest up, how are you going to take the beating she's going to give you?"
Warren was speechless. Shanley simply stayed silent. A dead silence fell over the hall once more.
Half an hour later, the sound of a car engine cutting off echoed from the entrance. The doors swung open, and Ebony Fox marched straight into the hall. Spotting Warren instantly, she grabbed him by the collar without a word. "Where is my sister? Where is she?"
"We're still looking," Warren replied. He was a capable fighter, but facing Celine's family, he could only lower his head. This was his fault.
