Dear Ex-Wife, You Are MINE! novel Chapter 166

MAEVE LILY...

We came out of the hospital. As expected, all the eyes were on us. Specifically, on the jot specimen beside me!

Although I am a reporter, I am not familiar with this situation. I am used to putting people in the limelight and not being in that place.

I looked at the man at the corner of my eyes. He seemed unbothered by random glances in his way. Could it be I was right about his modelling career? Well, just a little time and I would be free anyway.

I walked toward my car. However, he paused. When I looked behind, he was staring at the car with a visible frown.

"What happened now?"

"Didn't realise your car is cheaper than these clothes." His words were sarcastic and yeah, enough to turn me mad.

I have cared a lot for my baby. Although it's cheap, still works the same as luxury ones. Suppressing my anger inside I forced a smile at him.

"Well, you're free to leave alone then. Hope your 'pos' taste will land you somewhere special." Saying, I entered my car. If he does not follow, I would be Thankful!

Insult my car? Heh, be on your own then!

However, my thoughts sank again when he entered the passenger seat. Well, at least he has the courtesy to sit beside me. I started my car.

After a while, I parked my car in my specific parking lot and we came out. I was about to enter the lift but stopped.

Wait a minute... I live alone and if any of my neighbours see him, what would they think? My entire body froze at the realisation.

"What's wrong now? Don't tell me you forgot your address." His cold mockery brought me to reality as I stepped back, turning to him.

His perfect brow cocked, demanding an answer.

"Well, Can't use the lift. I... Don't wanna be seen with you." Saying I walked away a little and pushed the door of the stairs. This could be a little safer than a lift.

He followed me silently.

Reaching to my floor, I stopped. Slowly opening the exit door, I peeked outside. Well, guess I am in luck. No one is here.

"What? Are we playing hide and seek? Or do you live here illegally?" A deep whisper close to my ear startled me as I raised my head only to get a closer view of his... Sinfully handsome feature.

The images from the hospital stirred in my mind and I immediately stepped back. "Umm- I said I don't wanna be seen with you." I managed to speak. "I live alone, so..." He didn't say anything, but shrugged only.

Clearing my throat and stupid head, I looked out of the exit door again. After confirming there was no one, I stepped out, gesturing for him to follow me.

"What are you..."

"Shush!" I hissed at him, stopping in the middle and immediately rushed toward my apartment and pressed the code. Just the last code and we would be inside!

Suddenly,

"Now don't be outside for too long. Go inside, go go." She moved her hand and I silently pressed the last button of the code and went inside. With the same forced smile, I closed the door behind me and leaned against it, feeling drained.

Now, the entire building would know I brought a man home. Ugh!

"You live here?" I was brought to reality by his question and walked inside.

"Of course, I won't break in someone else's place." Throwing my backpack on the little sofa, I slumped there.

"Pretty small." His next words fell and I looked up at him. What does this guy think of himself? A nobleman who has the right to judge everything?

He only shrugged, "Stated the fact only." He sat at the edge of my Queen-sized bed.

Suddenly, Someone came to my mind and I looked at him again, "What's that outside? That 'Leo' thing?" I moved a bit forward. "Do you recall something?"

He looked around before locking his bluish-green gaze at me, "Nothing special, something random I found in the magazine. I need a name till I remember my identity, so..." He shrugged again before inspecting around.

Well, he is right. "Leo it is, then."

Sigh... I stood up and picked up my backpack. My day did not end here, not yet. I have an important task to do. I need to visit my stepmother. Ironic, but have no choice.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

I walked toward the door, "I have something undone. I will be late probably. So, be yourself and... Do not try to cause any trouble while I am gone." I enhanced the last line before closing the door behind me.
