Dear Ex-Wife, You Are MINE! novel Chapter 165

MAEVE LILY...

This man certainly knows how to get on my nerves. He was lucky to hold something against me, or else he might be sitting before a doctor with a swollen nose!

Gulping the anger, I walked close to him took the damp towel and started cleaning him a bit harshly.

"You're not in a war, you know?" He frowned, holding my hand.

"Sorry..." Mumbling, I started cleaning him slowly. The closeness between us was unhealthy for my messed up sense. Especially, when his sinful eyes wracking every inch of me.

"Why are you sad?" He suddenly asked, pausing me as my gaze met his. I wanted to deny but under his reading gaze, no denial came out of me.

It's dangerous. I shouldn't be manipulated like this. His staying close was a threat to discovering the darkest secrets I never wanted to share even to my conscious self.

Lowering my eyes I started washing him again. But this man wasn't the one to let go. Holding my hand he suddenly pulled me toward him. Our distance decreased and my breath hitched. "Wh-at are you..."

"Did anyone bother you?" He asked. He caught my breath. It's hard and different than usual. My heart clenched tight. I wanted to push him away but I couldn't as if I was hypnotised.

His face inched closer. His eyes landed on my lips and then my eyes. My heart was about to burst. I was spellbound and... His lips, he bit the lower one asking me to seal them...

"How is the handsome man doing?" A voice pierced the atmosphere, ringing the bell in my head as we both snapped apart from each other.

Everything paused...

"Did... I disturb you? Should I come later?" Doctor's hesitated tone injected senses in me and I immediately turned to him.

"N-no! I... Uh, I have to receive an urgent call, please check the patient!" And excused myself out not looking at the handsome stranger for once!

I only stopped coming out in the garden area and fanned my face. Fuck! What was I even thinking? I was in the process of kissing a man whom I didn't even know!

Oh God! That was embarrassing! I drank water and cooled down the heat in me before heading to his ward once again. Hopefully, that man won't hold that moment against me!

When I entered his ward, thank God he wore his clothes already. He looked up, gaze hard and cold, unlike a few minutes ago.

"Doctor Discharged me." He stated. His regular tone was back.

"Good. You can go back home now." I said, not looking at him directly but elsewhere.

He cocked a brow, "And where will I go?"

His words paused me, once again shoving me to reality.

"Maybe, I can arrange a hotel for you," I said, don't have any idea how would I afford it.

"Like this?" He showed his plastered hand.

"Then where?" What else did he want me to do for him?

My wallet was almost empty, only remain some for groceries. Yeah, Already broke, thanks to that arshole.

I returned to the hospital with clothes. He checked one by one and shook his head. "Never knew you had such a cheap taste."

"....."

"I only bought as much as I could afford. If you wanna wear then wear it or else... Your choice." And left the ward. While cleaning his bills, I got some envious looks and even some nurses sighed that they had to say goodbye to the handsome and kind man.

Kind? For real? I did not reply to them but returned to the ward. He was kind to the nurses and not me when I am doing every other shit for him? How ironic.

I was hoping for him to throw tantrums over clothes again but surprisingly, he did not but wear one. And honestly, the cheap clothes look good on him. He somehow made the dull clothes exciting.

And suddenly it hit me... He is handsome, good-looking, and well-built. Could it be he is a model? I won't be surprised.

Immediately, I brought out my phone and dialled my friend Joe's number. She is an entertainment journalist. If he is a model, she would know him surely.

However, she did not pick up but opened the automatic message portal.

"Hey Joe, this is Lily here. Please give me a knock once you're free. It's a little urgent." And hit the send button.

Hopefully, I will find something here...
