Luna finds herself by a beautiful lake, feeling a deep sense of home and peace as she notices a familiar diner with her name on it—Luna’s Diner. This discovery stirs a mix of emotions in her, especially when Abel reveals that he had secretly established this place for her, knowing how much she loved her mother’s diner back in Ylarc. Abel admits he created the diner after giving her up to Jaxon, hoping it would help him cope, but it only made him more miserable.
Their conversation reveals Abel’s deep care and struggle with letting Luna go, despite his efforts to prepare himself for it. He offers her the choice to keep, sell, or even repaint the diner, showing his willingness to support her in any decision. Luna responds to his vulnerability with a heartfelt kiss, expressing her love and reassuring him that she values everything he has done for her.
As they share this intimate moment, a soft melody begins to play from the diner, setting a tender atmosphere. Luna asks Abel to dance with her, and they move together slowly, their connection growing stronger with every step. The lyrics of the song reflect their journey—acknowledging past scars, the pain of love, and the commitment to choose each other repeatedly.
In this quiet, beautiful moment by the lake, Luna feels an overwhelming sense of safety and certainty, knowing she has never felt more secure or loved than she does with Abel. Their shared dance symbolizes a new chapter of healing and hope in their lives.

Chapter 404 Dancing Through Life
LUNA
I didn’t realize was crying until the wind brushed cool against my cheeks.
It was… beautiful
It was by the lake, the light shimmering across the water. The air still smelled like morning dew even though it was already 10 AM
It felt like home.
Just when I thought my heart couldn’t take any more, I saw a small infrastructure tucked at the far end of the clearing, with big sunny windows and a familiar classic design. The kind of design that should’ve only existed in Ylarc. The paint was fresh, the wood beams bright and warm.
Hanging above the door, in the exact same font my father used, were the words: Luna’s Diner.
For a moment, I thought it was a trick of the light. Maybe I was finally losing my mind after surviving too much in this life.
However, no matter how many times I blinked, the sign didn’t disappear.
My throat tightened, and I pressed a trembling hand to my lips.
“What…” My voice cracked. “What is this?”
Abel cleared his throat behind me. When I turned to look at him, he was smiling sheepishly.
He exhaled slowly before speaking.
“Well,” he muttered, clearing his throat, “since you’re going to be here for a long time now, and I know how much you love your mom’s diner…” His eyes darted to the diner and then back to me. “It has a branch in Ylarc, but I decided to bring it here.”
I stared at him.
My chest felt too full.
“When did you even…?” I whispered, unable to finish the question.
He scratched the back of his neck.
“When I gave you up to Jaxon,” he admitted. “I thought it would help me cope.”
My heart clenched. I still remember that day. At one point, I thought he really stopped loving me. However, all this time, he had been doing things like this? ·
He sighed. “However, I was just more miserable.”
I swallowed hard.
“So,” I said carefully, “if I didn’t come back, and I actually got marked by Jaxon, you would have hidden it?”
“Yes,” he said without hesitation.

Iglared at him
He lifted both hands in surrender. “1 was really prepared to let you go,” he said, softer this time i swear t was. But judging from everything I did, I couldn’t.”
“Angel… I tried.”
He wasn’t lying. Abel was a lot of things, but he wasn’t ever unsure about me.
He rambled again. “You don’t have to choose this venue, okay? I know it’s a bit small. I can find another one. Or build one. It’s also your choice what to do with the diner. You can keep it, sell it, burn it-”
I walked straight up to him.
He kept talking.
“-or maybe we can repaint it! You like yellow, right?”
I grabbed his face.
He froze.
And then I kissed him.
Deeply.
Thoroughly.
All the way down to the parts of him that still worried he wasn’t enough.
His breath caught against my mouth, and for a heartbeat, he simply stood there until I tilted his head slightly and pressed harder.
That was all it took.
His hands flew to my waist, pulling me in with an involuntary groan. The warmth of him pressed into me. His lips moved with mine, urgent at first, then tender, then urgent again.
I felt him breathe me in. His fingers tightened at my hips. The kiss deepened, our breaths mixing.
I pulled back, just enough to speak, my forehead resting against his.
“Shut up for a second,” I murmured, breathless.
His eyes widened slightly, pupils dark and dilated.
“I love it,” I whispered.

Before either of us could say anything else, a soft melody drifted through the air.
I straightened slowly.
The sound was faint at first, muted through the windows of the diner.
I raised a brow at him.
Abel looked anywhere but at me.
“It’s not operational,” he said quickly. “The diner, I mean. But I asked Tony to cook for us today. He must have played something.”
I shook my head, smiling.
He really did go all out.
I turned back toward him and slowly held out my hand.
“Dance with me,” I said softly.
“Now?”
“Yes, now.”
He hesitated for only a breath. Then his hand slipped into mine. He tugged me close, one arm wrapping around my waist, the other holding my hand against his chest, right above his heart.
The music from the diner grew clearer as we moved closer.
The lyrics drifted through the air.

Left them buried under shadows,
in a place you couldn’t see.
