Lowering his head, he bit down hard on her lips.

"Ouch, it hurts!" Pushing him, Carolien grimaced in pain.

The next second, her delicate chin fell into a strong palm. "I don't like other people touching what's mine. Be good or I'll make you suffer!"

She felt like he was going to crush her entire body. For the first time, Carolien clearly felt the hostility from his body. Carolien's eyes softened a little because of nervousness.

"Okay, I heard you. I won't forget. I have a great memory, so I won't forget a thing!"

"Can he let go now? It really hurts!"

It was fortunate that she hadn't gotten plastic surgery on her chin. Otherwise, he would've completely ruined her filler.

She blinked her eyes, her long eyelashes fluttered flirtatiously. Only then did Elijah slowly retract his hand. "Remember my words. Don't just keep playing dumb with me here!"

Carolien was afraid that he would hurt her again. This time, she took the initiative to stick a little closer to him and tucked her chin into his neck.

Her bar was pure entertainment. They didn't sell drugs of any kind. The only reason it had been holding well so far was based on her luck. This opportunity seemed like a good one for her to grab.

Elijah gave her a sidelong glance and didn't say anything.

"Mm?"

Carolien hooked his neck like a spoiled child and arched forward. "Just say yes."

"One round. Not more than half an hour!"

As soon as Elijah gave in, Carolien almost jumped on top of him. "Yay! I knew you were the best!"

She lowered her head and kissed his cheek. Seeing the lipstick mark on it, she wiped it for him with a smile.

Her heart was completely melted and he couldn't help himself. Elijah grabbed the back of her head and stole a sweet kiss. After holding her for a while, he reluctantly pushed her away and stood up. He raised his hand and pinched her cheeks affectionately.

"I have to go back today! Tomorrow, I will ask Hudson to come around. Wait for me at Peakview!"
