Chapter 114
I was certain Ashley would definitely report to Ferris.
Because this was her usual pattern–even things I hadn’t done, Ashley would make me take the blame for. This time she definitely wouldn’t miss such a good opportunity to tattle.
“I’ll consider it carefully.” Ashley dropped this line and prepared to leave.
Before leaving, she inadvertently saw the content on my screen and seemed somewhat surprised.
But she didn’t show too much emotion and quickly left.
She would never think that the legendary highest–level wolfhealer Moonveil was me, standing right in front of her.
After she left, I unhurriedly finished writing the rest of my thesis, waiting for her contact.
The next morning, Ashley skillfully had breakfast delivered, acting as if she had made herself the mistress of this place.
I wasn’t feeling well and got up late. When I came downstairs, breakfast was already set in the dining room.
Ferris had returned at some point and was sitting in the living room.
“Ferris, breakfast is ready,” Ashley said.
Ferris glanced at her: “I’ve already eaten. After you finish breakfast, go back.”
“If it’s inconvenient to return to your original residence, I’ll arrange a hotel for you.”
Ashley had been rejected repeatedly and didn’t dare to keep pestering, afraid of making Ferris angry.
“Then please arrange a hotel for me.”
After Ashley left the villa, sitting in the car, she immediately had someone prepare a check.
Later, Ashley sent me a text message: “I’ve prepared 200 million. Tonight at 10 PM at Cross Street Café. I’ll give it to you first to put you at ease.”
At the dining table, I glanced at my phone and found Ashley’s text message.
I hadn’t expected her to agree to give me money so readily, which made me feel somewhat suspicious.
