Aseem was right next to them and reddened. He was extremely offended. "YOU!!
"YOU DARE TREAT US THIS WAY?!"
Everyone ignored him. And when he still started yelling at them, someone put a cloth into his mouth to shut him up.
Althea, who hadn’t looked in Aseem’s direction at all, stared at Cassas in interest. "Well, it’s fine if that is what you want.
"You’ll have to carry the costs of it," she said, eyes sparkling in intrigue. "Can you try to dissociate a satellite?"
She also wanted to see how much it cost for it to be so rarely done. After all, when the time comes, she might have to do this as well. She only had 1 more slot left after all, and their lives were long and the world so big, she couldn’t guarantee that she wouldn’t find a good satellite after filling up her slots.
Cassas blinked and nodded, though they had to wait until the token integrated with him before they could do anything.
The war soon officially finished, and the token it up, slowly merging into him. As soon as it did, he immediately willed his mind to dissociate his Calming village as a satellite to this damned place.
[You do not meet the requirements to complete this change.]
"..." That’s all? No list of requirements or anything?
He sighed, looking at Althea, and told him what he got. She was disappointed but shrugged in the end, not needing the information yet anyway.
And so, it was settled like this. Cassas would have the option of settling in the satellite later on but, for now, he’d have to fix things here.
They naturally didn’t leave him alone, of course. Since Alterra became a town, it had maximized the hiring function of the Center. Although most of them were not assigned to Alterra but rather to the satellites, they were also hired by associate villages for an additional price (with middlemen fees for Alterra).
This case would be no different. However, to save time, Althea just assigned all of the level 14s and 15s hired via the center to remain there for a bit.
They all looked unwilling, unsurprisingly, but orders were orders.
They would be there for free for 1 month, and Cassas would have to pay their hiring fee and Alterra’s middleman fees beyond this. Of course, Althea promised to give them contribution point bonuses if they did well, which made them feel better.
As for the slaves, they could only cry and sob at the rescue, many of them encountering acquaintances, especially from Calming Village itself.
They couldn’t believe it. They thought their lives were over!
"Lord Cassas! It’s really you!"
"Minko! You guys!"
"I was ready to die... wuuuu..."
As for these slaves, they would be staying there for now to recover. They’d be heading to Calming Village with the Lord once the things here were settled down. They could not use the array this time and would be going on foot, because the array was connected to Iron Mountains, which were beyond the Terran region and would be impractical to use unless they were settling there.
