Other operations were running in parallel while the war was ongoing. By operations, this meant rescue operations.
After all, Gocki had two satellites, and one of which was Calming Village, which they had a vested interest in.
They didn’t bother with Hito Village, the village that officially defeated Calma Village, because Aseem had already taken all the elementalists’ slaves there to his own territory.
Whoever was there—even if they were innocent and suffering aborigines—was none of Alterra’s business, at least at this time. The place was just too far away to care for now.
They could, however, send support to Calming Village after all this was over, and they could handle their own satellite by themselves.
On the other hand, Calming Village was a totally different situation.
Because satellites didn’t have Lords, there was no one to receive the usual announcements from the system to Lords. That was to say, they didn’t know the ’master territory’ fell at all.
This meant that many of the aborigines there could still hurt their people. When they had the power and the opportunities to stop the abuse, how could they just sit around?
The people assigned here waited on tree branches, waiting for a location where they had a clear view of what was happening in the territory.
They waited for a bit. Although they were too far to receive news from Gocki in real time, they did have an approximate time frame of when the war ended, so no one was impatient.
The mission was co-led by Gale, one of the main fighters of Calming Village back then, and one of the people extremely passionate about the war.
His level was above average among the former slaves, but of course, he wasn’t enough to deal with the large number of aborigines. Fortunately, he was assisted by soldiers as well.
The leading soldiers this time were Orz and Ryan, both of whom were also familiar with the place. Alterran guards like Gwen (and her cat) also joined in, wanting to contribute to the retrieval of a place that had once protected them.
Of course, those who could actually attack were still limited, as they did not want to trigger a war. However, they’d be able to defend their people and at least neutralize threats, and that’d be enough for this purpose.
Soon, the aether letter warmed up. It was from Cassas, and the fact that the magic tool activated meant that they had taken over Gecko already!
How did they know? This was because the Lord—now Cassas—could use the warehouse to transfer his entire body and, therefore, enter the aether letter’s scope to send a message!
Gale and the others quickly headed to the walls, easily sneaking in. This was also facilitated by ’the Lord’ ordering the guards to go to the plaza for a meeting.
"Huh? When did the Lord arrive?" they heard one ask. That said, they were definitely taking their time to head to the plaza. They were likely under Voumi itself because of their lack of urgency to follow the Lord of a small village.
Cassas even added [Leave the walls alone. Let beasts come in. It’s time they are reminded that they needed strongmen to protect them] in his announcement.
The arrogance was just to the guard’s tastes, so they followed, thinking that they’d see something entertaining soon.
[The Master territory sent us a very interesting gift. Every guard must be in attendance; otherwise, you will be killed.]
The aborigines were confused but also excited. They also saw how the announcements were only sent to the guards, so the rest of the population seemed unaware.
The guards grinned. They wondered what the Lord had in store for them?
...
The day in Calming Village started out as usual. The Terrans, slaves or not, were doing their jobs, gathering resources, dealing with mobs, dealing with their conquestors needs...
The people were listless, their willpower chipped over time until there was nothing left. They felt like robots, just waiting for the day they’d die here or be taken elsewhere as slaves.
They could still remember the days when Calming Village was peaceful, at least relatively. Sure, there were a lot of mobs, but they worked together and had a common enemy. Even if it was hard, it wasn’t hopeless as long as they did their part.
They still remembered the soldiers and how strong they were. For many wars, they were protected to a degree, and for many major beast mobs, they were fighting there alongside them.
Until that big war happened, and they started losing everything.
At first, they thought it was unfair that they were left behind. They logically knew that those who escaped were not at fault, but their hearts needed people to blame, especially as they suffered more and more as time passed by.
Now, they were just tired, and perhaps, in some days, they would long for the past.
They thought the day would be as usual. They’d be tired, they’d be in pain, and their already hurt pride would be further crushed to pieces.
SLAP!
BANG!
And someone would be beaten up, slapped, or kicked here and there. It was nothing new.

"TSK! This is all your fault! heard how much decent ones sell? You can’t compare. Useless! Useless!" another yelled, kicking random Terrans who were barely conscious on the ground.
