"Alisha." Kelvin called worriedly when he spotted Alisha standing next to his car and ran up to her. "Alisha, why are you here? What's going on?" He asked worriedly.

Alisha looked straight into his eyes with her eyes that had turned red and said "Can we go on a ride?"

Kelvin pulled his eyebrows together in confusion before saying "Ride? We're still in..."

"Can we go on a ride or not?" Alisha asked firmly.

Kelvin sighed and nodded his head "Sure."

He unlocked his car and opened the passenger's door for her. Alisha slipped in, Kelvin closed the door and walked to the other side of the door while wondering about what was going on.

As Kelvin started the car, Mindy came out of a corner, ran to his car and started knocking on the window that was next to Alisha's.

"Alisha, talk to me. Please. Let me explain." Mindy was saying urgently "Please, I can explain."

Kelvin looked at Alisha who had not moved an inch from where she was seated confusedly and said "What is going on? What happened between you and Mindy? Why aren't you answering her?"

"Alisha! Alisha!" Mindy kept shouting while knocking on the window. "Please. I do care about you."

Tears started rolling down from Alisha's eyes and she tilted her head in Kelvin's direction. "What are you still waiting for?"

"Oh... sorry." Kelvin said and stepped on the accelerator.

The tension that descended inside the car as they were speeding on the highway could be cut by a knife.

Kelvin looked at a very quiet, sad Alisha whose mind was obviously out of the car and started contemplating whether this was a good time to ask her about what was going on between her and Mindy but talked himself out of it. It was obvious that Alisha was in no mood to talk to anyone.

Two hours after they had been on the road, Alisha looked at Kelvin with no tears in her eyes and said "Mindy..."

Kelvin nodded his head and decided not to say a word.

"Mindy knew..." Alisha sighed heavily while still trying hard not to cry. "She knew. And she acted as if she didn't."

"What are you talking about?" Kelvin asked and he turned into a sharp corner.

"I'm talking about Zhang and Piaf. She knew about there relationship and kept it a secret from me."

"Did she tell you why?"

"I don't care about why. I can't see past the fact that she didn't tell me."

"I know you're mad at her but..." Kelvin Shrugged. "You should have given her an opportunity to explain herself. She might have a reason."

Alisha sighed heavily and gave Kelvin the evil eye "Whose side are you on?"

"Your side of course."

"Three weeks. Three weeks after you guys started dating, I caught them together at Piaf's house. I'd went there to give her surprise visit and caught them together. I was really mad on that day and told her to stop whatsoever they were having but she didn't listen. I wanted to tell you directly but I couldn't because you were deep in love with him. I was scared that it was going to break you and it did at last."

Alisha wiped away the tears that had started rolling down her cheeks even though it wasn't her intention to start crying but as different memories started coming back to her, all of them ending with Mindy not be in support of her relationship with Zhang but she had been too blind to see what she was hinting to her back then because at the time, she was so madly in love with Zhang to see who he really was or what he was doing behind her back.

"When you told me that you were going to propose to him, I knew things were getting out of hands. I tried to stop you but you wouldn't listen and that was why I sent you that message."

"What message?" Alisha asked confusedly.

"The email. I was the one who sent it to you. I was desperate to stop you."

"So, you were the one who sent me that email?" Alisha asked shockingly as the memory of that day came back to her. "So, you were the one who sent me that message." Alisha said and sighed heavily. "You should have come to the point instead."

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. You tried to help me in your own way. I've forgiven you."

"You have?" Mindy asked and her eyes widened in surprise. She hadn't came here to be forgiven, she had came here to tell her part of the story.

"Yes, I have. Do you still want to be my friend?"

Mindy smiled and said "Of course." before running to where Alisha was sitting and gave her a very tight hug. "Thank you. Thank you."
