Young CEO loves me novel Chapter 27

"How are you feeling, Kelvin?" Alisha asked as Kelvin was about to start his car.

"Cool." he replied and started his car.

"I'm sorry for what happened at the field today."

"Why should you be? You weren't the one who intentionally kicked a ball at me."

"I know. I'm just..."

"You're just...? Stop trying to blame yourself for Zhang's stupidity."

"I'm not..."

Kelvin cut her off "I'm a man and I can take care of myself."

"Okay." Alisha said and looked out of the window. "and where are we going?"

Kelvin smiled wholeheartedly to her, showing all his front teeth. "Guess."

"I don't want to. I'm bad at guessing."

"I'm taking you to a dinner. Someone wants to meet you."

Alisha tilted her head in Kelvin's direction and confusedly said "Who?"

"Someone."

"Just tell me who. I don't want to get there and be like... you know what I'm saying."

"It's a surprise. So, there is no way I'm telling you."

A waitress ushered them into a private room and took their orders. Alisha had been super conscious since the moment Kelvin had told her about the person who wanted to meet her and asked Kelvin the moment the waitress walked away "And where is the someone?"

"On their way, I guess." he replied.

Few minutes later, a very beautiful girl was ushered into the room and Alisha jaw dropped down when she saw who it was.

Angelica McSmith echoed in her brain and she slowly rose to her feet the moment Kelvin does.

After exchanging greetings with her brother, Angelica faced Alisha and gave her a beautiful smile that showed her perfectly white teeth.

"It's nice meeting you Alisha." she said as she hugged Alisha.

"Nice meeting you too."

"Now, I understand what my brother sees in you. You're very beautiful lady." Angelica McSmith said as she released Alisha.

"Thank you and you're stunning too."

Not long after, they were seated around a table and started chatting away as if they had known each other for years.

One week later

"I've had enough of your bullshit!" A familiar voice shouted inside the restroom where Alisha was heading to. "Stop acting like the perfect best friend."

"What do you expect me to do!?" Another familiar voice said and upon hearing the two familiar voices coming out of the restroom, Alisha hastened her step.

"You've known about us for months! Months!" The first familiar voice shouted. "Why didn't you say anything back then! Why!?"

"Alisha."

"Just answer my question. Everything that I've heard is true, right?

"I have my reasons." Mindy said with tears in her eyes. "I have my reasons. Give me an opportunity to explain."

"Fuck your reasons! Fuck your explanation!" Alisha screamed. "You fooled me! Both of you fooled me. So, all this time, you knew all about their relationship and you didn't tell me about it. You make me look like a fool."

"Alisha."

"Don't call my name again. We stopped being friends few minutes ago" Alisha said and ran out of the restroom while using the back of her right hand to clean her uncontrollable tears.

"Alisha!" Mindy shouted.

Piaf smirked and looked at Mindy. "You shouldn't have gotten on my bad side."

"Fuck you." Mindy swore and walked out of the restroom.

Alisha ran to the car park, stood beside Kelvin's car and cried her eyes out. Fifteen minutes later, when there were no tears left, she dug into her pocket, brought out her phone and dialled Kelvin's number.

"Hello." Kelvin said into the phone but Alisha had no more strength in her to speak so, she just continued to sob softly.

"Hello." Kelvin said worriedly. "Alisha, are you okay? Where are you? What's is going on there? Hello, Alisha."

Alisha used all the energy that was in her to say one word "Car."

"Car?" Kelvin asked confusedly. "What happened to the car? Where are you? At the car park? Is that where you are?"

Kelvin concluded that that was where she was and said "I'll be there in two minutes" and walked out of his class without being stopped by the teacher that was teaching them.
