“The girl you saw before you got down the car, that Xavier guy who always bothered you in the parking lot, and another guy that I don’t really know. There were three of them.” Angel racked her brain to recall.
They probably reduced the dosage on Angel, thinking that she was just a little girl. That was why she managed to wake up earlier than the anticipated time and managed to see them leaving.
There were three of them!
Monique instantly realized that Cindy had teamed up with Xavier to take revenge against her. They even found a helper.
A wave of panic overwhelmed Monique. Could they escape from this?
She had to, no matter what, for Angel’s sake!
“Angel, don’t be afraid. Mommy will find a way out,” Monique comforted Angel. She increased the force and tried to free her hands from the restraints. Her wrist bled from the friction on the ropes.
“Mommy, I’m not afraid. My hands are almost free, don’t worry,” Angel comforted her in a similar manner. She was just a five-year-old kid; she must have been terrified, but she seemed rather calm in the face of danger.
When Angel woke up, she started calling Monique while trying to free herself from the restraints. The rope around her hands was not too tight and her small hands were much more nimble.
Angel struggled for quite some time before she managed to free herself from the ropes.
“Mommy, look! I did it!” Angel exclaimed, turning around to face Monique with both her hands raised in the air.
“Great job, Angel! Now please help Mommy get out of this,” Monique hurriedly asked Angel for help.
They had to leave before the three of them returned.
Angel found a rusty knife near them and started sawing the rope.
She had to inform Henry. He would definitely come and save them.
Monique reached for her pocket, but it was empty. They took her purse and phone. She was left with nothing!
Monique clenched her jaw and ran out with Angel in her arms. She decided to fight all the way. She would never let them hurt Angel.
The windows of the warehouse were too high; it was impossible to get out through them.
Monique had no choice but to carry Angel and run toward the door.
When Monique neared the door, it opened suddenly. It was too late to hide. She was met with Xavier, who stalked toward her with a despicable smile on his face.
“Where do you think you’re going!”
