Monique walked toward the rock on the seashore and climbed it. The rocks were small and easy to climb. There were quite a number of people taking photos there. She just wanted to be alone, so she went to the other side and climbed up a larger rock. She did not notice the good-looking man following her not far off. She climbed up the largest rock and looked at the sea. This was her first time coming to the beach; she stood there and closed her eyes to feel the sea breeze.
When Logan noticed her dim eyes as she walked on the beach, he started to get worried about her and thought she might end her own life. He quietly followed her, and just when he was close to her, she stretched out her arms all of the sudden. Logan thought she wanted to die, so he quickly shouted in panic. “Monique! Miss Xander! Don’t do anything reckless!”
Monique shut her eyes to feel the vast ocean, then she heard someone calling her name. Was that an imaginary voice? How could it be possible? Nobody knew her here.
Henry was Angel’s father. That was enough to make her feel like she was in a dream. Monique did not open her eyes and stayed in place. She could not understand how Henry knew that Angel was his daughter, and yet he never told them. Besides, he reminded her a few times, “Did you remember something?”
She had no clue what he was talking about!
“Monique! Miss Xander!” The voice came again.
Just when Monique wanted to turn around, a man jumped over from another rock all of a sudden and grabbed her slim waist. She was scared to death. “Who are you? What’re you doing?”
Who was this? A thug? How did he know her name?
“How can I get down if you don’t release me?” Monique rolled her eyes. She only wanted to be alone. Who on Earth was this man!
Logan thought for a moment. This place was filled with rocks, if he wanted to carry her and jump to the other side, it would be difficult. He urged her again, “I’m going to let go now, so don’t do anything reckless.”
Monique felt tired; this was too much. That man did release her after he finished, but one of his hands still held her arm. Monique turned and looked at him. Was this the man who argued with Louise on the side of the road the other night?
He was obviously here to make advances on her, and what a nice way to put it to tell her not to do anything reckless. Her eyebrows tightened and shook his hand off with all her strength. “Are you nuts?”
