A sneer curled Henry’s mouth. "I would like to see how you're going to beat me up. You can’t beat me in a fight, and you're in prison now; how exactly are you going to challenge me?"
Simon frowned, realizing he was in a dire situation and could not protect Monique. That kindergarten was built solely for Monique, and if he could not even maintain it…
"How's Monique? Is she alright?" Simon composed himself.
"Who are you to be concerned for her?" Henry snarled. "Her paramour?"
Simon was stunned. 'What do you mean by paramour?'
'There's nothing between us. Did Henry misunderstand something?'
Simon thought back to the time when Monique was so devastated that she started crying so badly, and now she was missing. Simon was confused as to whether the man standing before him was sincerely treating Monique well or not.
"Don't insult Monique. She's a good woman."
Suddenly, Henry's handphone rang; it was William, "Mr. Moore, Miss Xander is at the station and wants to meet Simon. Should I let her in?"
"No! I'm coming out now!" Henry coldly smiled, ignoring the man before him as he marched out.
Louise accompanied Monique to the station and coincidentally bumped into William, who was about to attend a meeting.
Monique recognized William; he was the one who brought his men to rescue her when she was being kidnapped.
William managed to remember Monique as well after she introduced herself. 'What was going on here? As soon as Mr. Moore left for the prison, Miss Xander showed up soon after.'
"He's the principal of my daughter. He didn't kidnap his own student. There must be a misunderstanding. Chief William, if I don't press charges, can he get out?" Monique did not look at Henry. Instead, she turned to William.
William spun around to look at Henry, dumbfounded, 'What was happening?'
"So, that's how you treat your daughter, you're not bothered that she was kidnapped." Henry coldly glared at Monique. Henry thought that all she cared about was Simon and no one else.
Monique stepped up to Henry, gritting her teeth, "Isn’t your purpose to make me beg you? Now, I'm begging you, please let him go; he's just a teacher and he really loves his students. How could he possibly kidnap one? Besides, Angel is my daughter. If not for you refusing to tell her the truth, would she secretly have gone out alone to look for me? If anyone was plotting a kidnapping, wouldn’t it be you?" Monique roared, ignoring Henry's darkened expression.
"Don't you know how angry I am right now? What's there to gain by making me angry?" Henry subconsciously balled his fists as the anger he was wearing became more obvious.
'In the end, all she cared about was that Simon Leeds.'
