Monique was staring coldly as she muttered, "No wonder Angel sounded rather angry when she called me. I didn't know it was because of this."
Monique came back to her senses after being stunned for a few seconds. She realized the most important thing to do was to look for Simon. She reached out to her handphone in her pocket and kept dialing Simon.
His handphone was turned off.
Monique was holding on to her handphone and was trembling. She glanced at Louise and said, "I want to go over to the kindergarten and have a look."
Louise nodded, "Yeah, maybe he already returned."
Monique's eyelashes were shaking as she was holding on dearly to the faint gleam of hope.
She sincerely hoped that she could meet Simon at the kindergarten.
Monique was restless in the car as the sky started pouring. She wanted to give Simon another call but she knew it was pointless as he turned his handphone off.
Monique immediately got down from the car as soon as they reached the kindergarten. She did not bother to take an umbrella. Droplets of icy cold rain splattered on her body.
"Wait up, take an umbrella!" Louise called out as she hurriedly paid the cab fee and trailed from behind.
The kindergarten was dead silent and did not seem to have anyone in there.
Monique held onto her tears and slammed at the glass door of the security's office.
Miss Sophia was inside the kindergarten. Her eyes glittered when she heard someone knocking on the door but very soon became dim.
Miss Sophia nodded and said, "Day before yesterday, there's a lady who came to look for Mr. Leeds. She claimed that she was going to buy over the kindergarten with 10 times the price but he declined the offer. Then, the landlord came and I found out that the landlord wanted to take back the property as she sold off the property at a very high price. She requested Mr. Leeds to move out immediately. I'm really worried that Mr. Leeds did something foolish because of this incident. The vice principal went over to his house to look for his parents but there’s no news from there as well."
Who in this entire universe aside from Henry would buy over a kindergarten for 10 times its value?
"Do you know what the lady looked like?" Monique asked as she somehow guessed that it would be Mandy.
'Just because of a photo of me eating out with another guy, those around me had to suffer?'
Monique was thinking hard. If it was not for Louise's support, Monique would have toppled over. Monique suddenly recalled Henry's speech, "I'll wait for you to come to beg me!"
Henry knew it all along that Monique would eventually come to beg him.
