Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 425

Beep…

Beep…

It was a long wait. Just when the call almost reached the sweet voicemail lady’s message, it was connected.

“What is it?” The voice was cold from the other end of the line, and the chill was eerie. Even if Mandy was his personal secretary, she could not help but shiver; the suffocating feeling encircled her. She really wanted to hang up the phone.

“Mr. Moore, we’ve some issues with the purchase proposal. Mr. Simon insists on declining the offer. I’ll re-evaluate the proposal with the planning department again, but it’ll be a challenge.” Mandy reported in one breath.

As Henry recalled the smirk on Simon's face when he fetched Angel that evening, his eyes blazed with a fire.

“Trash, what is the d*mn use when none of you can even handle such a small matter?” His eyes squinted and his tone was harsher, edging with anger.

Mandy’s knees were weak and her hair stood on end. Even the air thinned, making it hard for her to breathe.

Mentioning Mr. Simon was a bad idea. The chairman loved Monique deeply, which was why he was so upset. He hated Mr. Simon so much at the same time. Purchasing Starry Kindergarten was essential; there would be no room for maneuvering. Besides, she had to solve this as soon as possible, or Simon’s situation would be difficult. Instead of mentioning Mr. Simon, Monique, who was lying in bed, would remind someone of his sympathy. Thus, it would be better if she mentioned Monique.

Moore Manor was not in the center of the city; it was located halfway up the mountain. The probability of getting a cab from the road was low, and calling a cab at this late hour might not show up there due to the location. Besides, she had no money.

Even if she wanted to borrow money from Mrs. Lawson, she had to wait until Daddy left.

Angel waited in her room for a long time. Then, she finally heard a car going out. She quickly walked toward the window to peek. After she confirmed that Daddy had left, she quietly snuck out. Just as she was about to leave her room, a servant walked toward her.

“Why aren’t you sleeping at this late hour, young Lady?” The servant asked in a caring tone.
