Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 360

“Hmm?” When Monique was still in a daze, Nick had already ordered the waiter to get him a band-aid.

“It’s fine, it’s just a little cut.” Monique smiled, her dimples could be seen on both of her cheeks. She was less reserved toward him compared to before.

Nick smiled casually and said, “I lost my phone after you gave me your number. That’s why I didn’t call. I’m sorry.”

Monique laughed. “What a coincidence. The same thing happened to me too!”

In reality, Monique hid her phone from Henry, afraid that he would throw it away.

“You lost your phone too? What a fate we share,” Nick said, “What’s your current phone number?”

Monique’s eye twitched and replied embarrassedly, “I don’t know my phone number.”

Nick was unbothered by the revelation. He asked, “Do you have your phone with you?”

Monique knew that he planned to use her phone to call him. That way, he would have her number.

She nodded and took her phone out from her bag. It was the latest model with a pink shade. This phone was on a whole other level in comparison to her old one.

Nick began to recite his phone number after Monique switched on her phone. “This is my number. Try dialing it.”

“Fate brought us together outside the troubled times, yet destiny brought us to love in the hardest times…”

Nick’s phone rang, it was the same ringtone Monique had.

“This is your ringtone too…” Monique was surprised.

Monique fell in love with this song when she first heard it.

She was touched by the well-written lyrics accompanied by the beautiful tune.

‘As insignificant as dust

Floating in the endless realm

Fate brought us together outside the troubled times

Will light up my hopes

The universe is endless and cold

Our love small yet bold

Made us lose ourselves in this wild ride.’

Monique felt that she could relate to the feeling of being as insignificant as a speckle of dust in the world, floating into the boundless realm. She was betrayed by her beloved sister and forced to leave her home. It was her love for Angel that allowed her to survive to that day.

Angel was her only living hope.

Nevertheless, she was still a woman who longed for kindness and care.

Who would surround her with their arms and offer her shelter?

Who would be willing to give up everything for her?
