Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 328

Henry hung up the phone and took a short nap in his chair. Then, he woke up and quickly had his lunch. He pressed the phone intercom and asked Shaun to come in.

Shaun thought that Mr. Moore would be asleep for a little longer. He never expected him to have already woken up and finished his meal already. Instead of looking lethargic like a person that had not rested for all day, the chairman was sitting in front of him, looking refreshed.

Henry raised his eyes and gave him a quick scan, then looked at the documents that he was holding. “Book a plane for tomorrow night.”

Shaun was surprised. “Tomorrow night? You have an important meeting in the morning for the day after.”

Henry gave him a simple glance. He already had plans. “Inform everyone to take a two-hour break. When you’re done, you rest too. Come to the meeting room after two hours; I’ll finalize the plan with everyone and get it done by noon tomorrow. I’ll personally visit their organization tomorrow afternoon. I’ll let you handle the rest.”

Shaun was bewildered. Since when did this workaholic let anyone rest when there was work to be done? Everyone had to work overtime for at least two to three days, but he shortened it to one night, with two hours to rest in such a critical moment? How was that possible? Did he mishear?

“Any questions?” Henry stopped his work, glancing at Shaun coldly.

Shaun pursed his lips and asked with caution, “Two-hour break?”

“You don’t want to rest?” Henry cocked an eyebrow.

“I do!” Shaun replied quickly.

He had not rested for almost 24 hours. He was running on fumes to stay awake. He could shut his eyes and sleep while he stood right there and then if anyone doubted him..

Two hours later, everyone was already in the meeting room to finalize every single detail. The next morning, Henry ordered someone to get them all breakfast and they took a fifteen-minute break before continuing with work. They managed to finalize the contract before noon.

Shaun double checked the new contract to make sure there were no problems. Then, he followed Henry to Organization D. The executive was resting in the office, just in case something happened unexpectedly.

Henry was the chairman of Marriott International, a famous tycoon in B city, and he had many business connections from different industries. When he personally paid a visit to Organization D, his mere presence was a great show of respect to them.

When Organization D backed out at the last minute, it was because the benefits the other company offered were more tempting, so Henry decided to modify the original contract details. He gave them a small percentage of profits from the earnings. In the follow-up operation, the interest would only gain instead of incur losses.

Organization D had no reason to reject this offer, and after negotiating the deal all afternoon, they finally signed the contract that night.
