Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 324

“Angel! That’s a nice name.” Simon nodded, his eyes were filled with admiration.

She nodded and replied proudly, “That’s what my Daddy says too.”

Simon was surprised when Angel looked proud. It was obvious that she liked her father a lot, but why was Monique so upset that night?

Besides, he heard Angel say that she went back for an arranged blind date, and passed out too. If he treated her well, why did she go back to her hometown for a blind date?

Monique was a little shocked and looked at her daughter. Although she unintentionally mentioned Henry, it made her feel a little awkward. She drank a lot that night, but she was not drunk. She still vividly remembered what Simon told her: “Monnie, if he doesn’t treat you well, then let me take care of you. I’ll be good to you, okay?”

However, she was already in Henry’s bed when she woke up.

If that night had not happened, would there still be a chance for them?

Although she felt that she was not a good match with Simon, she desperately needed that sense of warmth, and Angel really wanted a father. Simon would seem to be a better option than Henry, because Henry only treated her as a lover. If he disposed of her, Angel would lose a father. If Simon was her father, things would be perfect…

When Angel saw that her mother was not angry, her little cherry lips lifted up with a smile, and a pair of sweet dimples appeared on her cheeks. She looked absolutely adorable.

Simon’s eyes flashed with bitterness when he saw this harmonious scene. It was obvious that a father would treat his child well. What was he thinking? What was he expecting?

It was just like Monnie said; they had an argument but they had made up. He felt a little disappointed, but he was happy for Monnie. The corner of his lips lifted up a bit. If Monique was happy, that was good enough for him.

At that moment, a waiter had started to serve some food to the table. Simon helped to set it on the table. The dishes that were served first were beef stew, pierogi, and baked fish. The presentation was neat and it smelled heavenly.
