Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 258

Manager Harper squinted and thought, ‘Of course not, a janitor would suit you best.’

He paused slightly and smiled. “Miss Xander, these are the only jobs that have openings right now. Why don’t you choose them yourself?”

Manager Harper handed the application forms to her and said, “These are the ones under my supervision. I would need to negotiate with the respective departments for other jobs. Anything above this executive-level would require the chairman’s permission.”

Yvonne humphed and snatched the job forms from him. Her eyes widened instantly as she read the forms. “Sales assistant, planning assistant, public relations assistant, customer service executive...”

Yvonne was displeased with the choices presented to her. “That’s all?”

Manager Harper nodded and smiled politely. “That’s all we can offer.”

Yvonne frowned. Manager Harper had mentioned that these were the only jobs that he could offer as the others would require negotiation with the respective departments. Negotiation would need time but she was in a hurry. If Monique found out and rushed over, she would not even get the chance to enter the company.

Higher-level jobs were definitely out of the question since it required the chairman’s approval.

She had no choice but to accept it.

Yvonne seethed, “Customer service executive then. At the very least it’s still an executive-level job.”

Manager Harper laughed and said, “Charlotte, can you please see this through?”

Customer service executive was just a more refined title for an ordinary clerical job, which involved making drinks and entertaining clients—it was nothing important.

“Sure!” Charlotte was thrilled that she could finally get this off her hands. “Miss Xander, please follow me to process your employment procedures.”

Yvonne shouted in disbelief. “Are you sure you’re not mistaken? I’m a customer service executive!”

The other staff turned their heads to stare at Yvonne. “My goodness. Who the hell is this newbie? How dare she yell at our assistant manager?”

“I’m very sure. This is where you’ll be sitting. I’ll order someone to brief you through the job later.” Assistant Manager Jayden left right away after he said that. He told himself to be patient and endure for the time being. He would go after her when the chairman lost interest in her sister.

Yvonne sat down reluctantly, but she was quite satisfied that she got an executive-level job. She would settle for this in the time being but when she becomes the chairman’s wife, she would definitely give these guys an earful.

Back at Pristine Steakhouse, Monique felt like a puppy with her hair being tousled. His words were still ringing in her mind.
