Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 257

Manager Harper was stunned. He was aware that the chairman went out a few days ago but he did not know that he went to their house. Was he there to visit her parents?

If Chairman Moore was planning to get engaged, why was there no news about it?

Could it be that the chairman did not want others to know? After all, he had a child with her. Was this the reason why the chairman told Yvonne to look for him without notifying him in advance?

Rumors were spreading like wildfire in the company. Judging from the photos, he was almost certain that some parts of her story were partially true.

Manager Harper chuckled. “Miss Xander, do you have a resume? Or can you briefly introduce yourself?”

Yvonne did bring along her resume. She took out the resume that she had prepared earlier from her bag and handed it over to him.

Manager Harper ordered Charlotte, “Hurry up and make Miss Xander some coffee.”

Charlotte reluctantly stomped off.

She had no choice since Yvonne was so well-connected.

Charlotte headed out to ask someone to help make coffee. She browsed through the vacant positions in each department but there was no place for somebody as useless as Yvonne.

Nevertheless, she still picked 3 to 4 positions for Manager Harper to decide.

Manager Harper glanced through Yvonne’s resume and saw that she graduated from an ordinary university, majoring in business administration, and had no working experience prior to this.

Then, she walked toward Manager Harper and passed him the stack of files she organized earlier, including the marketing department, planning team, and human resources.

Manager Harper looked through the positions and thought for a moment. He finally decided to give her a chance. He asked courteously, “There’s a vacancy as an assistant in the planning department. What do you think?”

Although being a planning assistant was a simple job, there were many valuable skills and experiences that she could learn from it. Her sister might be in favor of the chairman then, but he could also lose interest in her one day. Others would be waiting to see her turn into a laughing stock.

She should take this opportunity to learn so that she would not lose her job. Otherwise, she would be fired in no time.

When Yvonne heard that she was being offered to work as an assistant, she got mad. She thought that she would be able to be a manager or an assistant manager at the very least after using the chairman’s name.

“What? Do you think it’s appropriate for someone like me to be an assistant?” Yvonne yelled angrily.
