Monique tried to calm her mind. 'Well Monique, it looks like you're out of choice. Since you've made the decision, then just go with the flow and enjoy the life given.'
She leaned over to Henry as her soft lips kissed his handsome face. She said softly, "I'll slowly get used to it, but for now, please put me down. It's embarrassing with so many people staring at us."
Monique immediately buried her face into Henry's muscular chest after she kissed him. Her face was blushed like a cherry, looking very alluring.
Henry was stunned as his chest could feel her warmth. A delightful smile was plastered on his face as he could imagine Monique's shy looks without even needing to take a glimpse of her.
"Ding." The door of the elevator opened.
While Henry was still daydreaming, Monique took advantage of it and jumped out of his arms and ran out of the elevator.
His smile got wider when he saw her escaping silhouette as he trailed her.
Monique thought they had reached the first floor of the mall but it turned out to be another floor, so she turned around and headed back to the elevator.
Bang! Monique's head rammed into a sturdy body.
'Oh my god, what's wrong with me? Why am I being so careless, constantly knocking things over?'
Monique knew it was Henry's body that she had knocked on, even without lifting her head. She could smell the faint aroma of cigarettes as she was engulfed by the scent of testosterone that was emitting from him.
Henry carried Monique with his strong arms and spoke in an attractive, low, and hoarse voice, "Oh my lady. You’re being rather spontaneous today, taking the initiative to bump into me."
Head facing the ground, Monique stuttered, "I'm not… I think we're on the wrong floor, this isn't the first floor…"
Monique's heart was racing like mad as Henry had misunderstood her for being spontaneous and bumping into him intentionally.
Henry saw Monique, who initially had a pitiful expression, now revealing an enchanting smile as bright as a flower, after he mentioned about having a meal. 'She must really love eating.'
He paused for a moment as he held onto her slim hand. Her skin was silky and nice to touch, except that it was rather skinny. "You funny woman! We'll eat here!"
It was Monique's turn to blank out and pause—that was her first time feeling the warmness of Henry holding onto her hand. It was so warm and gentle.
Monique's heart melted as she enjoyed the brief moment of gentleness without thinking about anything else. All this while, she dreamed that someday, someone would take her hands and give her and Angel a sweet family.
With that, Monique was brought into a restaurant by Henry.
"Welcome to Pristine Steakhouse!" The waitress immediately bowed when she saw the handsome gentleman and gorgeous lady appear before her.
