Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 248

"Why were you in such a hurry to look for me earlier?" Henry carried Monique to the counter.

She felt rather embarrassed when she was questioned by Henry, but at the same time, was too tired to struggle as Henry continued carrying her in his arms. "N-Nothing, I'm just feeling thirsty. I want to drink a glass of juice…"

Monique would never let Henry know that she was upset at him for looking at that saleswoman with so much excitement.

What rights did she have to be upset over it?

"Thirsty? I had lots of juice just now so I don't mind giving you some of it." Henry lowered his head and stared at Monique as he spoke with a flirtatious tone.

She got his hint as her lips curled. She shook her head vigorously, and said, "No thanks, hehe…"

At that moment, Henry—who was carrying Monique—had arrived at the counter. His mellow and attractive voice was heard. "Take out my card from my pocket and make the payment."

"What? Let’s just forget about it. There are so many clothes and I'm sure I won't be able to wear all of them." Monique sounded as though she was pleading as her glittering eyes stared at Henry's perfect looks.

Henry snorted, with a crossed expression. "Just follow my order and swipe the card. My purpose in bringing you here is to let you spend money."

Monique was at a loss of words as she rolled her eyes at him. She would never understand how flight rich guys lived their life.

Shr reached out to his pocket with her slim arm and got hold of a golden card, which she then passed to the cashier.

The cashier took the card from Monique with her hands shaking. 'This lady is spellbound by this good looking, yet domineering man. Such a scene can only be found in movies.'

Besides, the gentleman before the cashier was much better looking and stylish than any male protagonist in any movie.

The cashier was so envious of Monique.

Thinking back at the way those salesmen behaved, their eyes were filled with envy and jealousy despite them putting on a polite expression—some even gleamed with disdain. If it was not for Henry, she doubted the salesmen would still be polite to her.

Besides, what would happen if the public were to know that she was just a mistress to Henry?

Perhaps, she would just end up being looked down upon. Monique was worried that the higher she climbed the social stairs, the greater the damage she would suffer if things did not turn out well in the end.

Monique felt at a loss as a sense of terror dwelled within her.

Leaving that aside, would she really bring herself to hate such a luxurious lifestyle?

Perhaps she did not hate it as much as she thought. Which woman in this world did not desire being treated like a princess?
