Henry frowned. His voice turned cold, “Angel would be disappointed if she had to leave the glory and wealth behind, but what about you? Would you want to leave after enjoying all these riches and having a gorgeous man like me by your side?”
What a narcissist!
She would not have wanted to leave?
He was not going to be serious with her, he just wanted to have toyed with her. He could not have given her a home, and there had been nothing for her to have lingered in here, so there had been no reason for her to have stayed.
She had always wanted to have left, but did she have a choice?
Her lips curved up and mocked him, “Didn’t I say it earlier? It’s not up to me to decide. If you give me an order to leave, I’ll leave.”
Did she not have any feelings for him?
When she looked at this good-looking man in front of her, his facial feature was as perfect as it had been crafted by a skilled artist. His alluring thin lips could have taken a person’s breath away, no woman could have resisted this temptation.
Monique could not have denied it, but he had only treated her as his lover from the beginning.
He could have spent his money without hesitation and provided her a place to stay, money to have spent, but he could not have given her a home that she had longed for. He could have never been serious with her, she had to have admitted this fact, and understood her position, status, and situation. She must not have let herself drown into these feelings. She must not have had feelings for him, or else she would have been doomed for life.
She groaned inwardly and smiled. She had not known what kind of expression she could have expressed other than a smile. She felt ridiculous, “Thank you, Mr. Moore.”
She had a small and pretty face, her eyes had been pure, and her smile had been bright. However, the way she spoke and her smile had been too formal. It had been so annoying.
Henry’s eyes were cold, he released her chin and curved his lips up with a cruel smile, “Since I’m your benefactor, then clean yourself up and serve me later!”
