Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 141

“I didn't know you can’t swim!” Henry’s voice was low and hoarse.

For a proud man like him, explaining was the best he could do.

It was impossible for him to apologize.

“Even if I can swim, how could you just throw me into the water? I’m a human. I have my dignity!” Monique restrained the trembling of her body and roared loudly, revealing hatred in her eyes.

She held her head like a proud swan, looking at his handsome face. Her heart was no longer throbbing like before, and her eyes looked surprisingly calm.

“If you have your dignity, you shouldn’t have hooked up with another man. I allowed you to go on holiday so you could rest at home, not to hook up with another man.” Henry’s voice was low and cold just like the winter wind.

Monique was stunned.

Hooked up with another man?

Since when did she hook up with another man?

Nick?

She was speechless! Nick had only rescued her.

Monique’s clothes were wet and she felt chilly in the cold weather. She started shivering. “Even if I hooked up with another man, how is it your business?”

He really did not know she could not swim. However, looking at her disgusted and stubborn look when she faced him, he became anxious out of sudden. “Beg me?”

Beg him? What did that mean?

The deep sense of fatigue flooded her heart and body. She would not beg him. If he had not saved her… There was no one else around in the middle of the night, nor did she know how to swim.

Nonetheless, she did not want to give in and stood her ground with her remaining dignity and stubbornness. “Why should I beg you? Beg you to save me? You just threw me so you should save me.”

“Be sensible!” Henry’s handsome face looked depressed. He frowned his sharp brows and uttered, “With them, I can’t sleep well.”

His tone sounded depressed.

He seemed to be mean, if it was not because of this, she could not be there.

Monique was stunned for a while. What kind of answer was that?!

“Hahaha!” Monique laughed out. ‘So that was it.’

She had even laughed out loud! Well done, no one had even dared to laugh at him this way!

Henry stared at her smiling like a flower. His dark eyes were like a bottomless pool that could swallow human beings in a snap without leaving any residue.
