Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 105

Angel tilted her little head, revealing her pinkish small face, staring at Henry with a pair of teary eyes as her small lips were trembling, as though she had something to tell him.

"Are you really my dad?" Angel with her cute little big pair of eyes still fixed upon Henry.

"Of course I am." Henry, without a second thought, replied with a confident tone as he stroked Angel‘s soft silky hair.

She was indeed Henry's biological daughter.

"If that's the case, why Mommy wouldn't allow me to call you Daddy?" Asked Angel, blinking her big and cute eyes.

Angel felt down whenever she recalled her mother forbidding her from greeting the good-looking man that was right in front of her as 'Daddy'. It has been countless times that Angel disobeyed it but whenever she saw her mother's eyes swirling with sadness, it made her feel sad as well.

But all she wanted was to have a father.

Every other child had their father except Angel and she would often become a laughing stock to them.

"Mommy is still not used to this new living environment, give her some time to get used to it." Henry's eyes became slightly gloomy.

"Really?" She replied with a sorrowful tone.

"Of course it's real, your Mommy will get used to it in no time." Henry squinted his eyes as a flash was seen issuing from his bottomless pair of eyes.

Given Henry's stunning looks, it's only a matter of time before Monique accepted him.

Henry's low and attractive voice along with a confident tone offered limitless comfort to Angel.

Looking at her Daddy who was not replying, Angel’s expression became gloomy, looking utterly sad, "Mommy suffered last time. After I was born, she couldn't go to work while carrying me all around. Life without money, we had to live under the bridge, at the train station, in the toilet. Later on, Mommy went to earn a living by collect rubbish while carrying me on the back and when I'm slightly older and Mommy managed to earn some money, she rented a house, those small houses in the suburbs. And later on, after doing several other part-time jobs, after I'm slightly older and able to stay in the house alone, only Mommy was able to get a real job which she later went to work at the coffee shop in the morning and work overtime as a chauffeur during the night time."

Thinking back of the suffering her mother had endured through these years, reflections of tears were seen in Angel’s beautiful black eyes, "I kept encouraging Mommy to look for Daddy because I wanted to be like other kids, having a Daddy, and also hope that there will be someone there to protect Mommy."

Henry's expression did not change after looking at Angel’s teary eyes, yet deep in his heart, he felt as though he’s had a heartache.

He had no idea Angel and Monique had suffered these much.

After looking at Angel, perhaps he could not promise to marry Monique, but protecting her for the rest of her life was the least he could do.

"Mm, I'll protect you two, protect you two forever!"
