Evelina was panicking. She needed to know what Asher had discovered.
He couldn't find out her father was still alive, or she was doomed.
Lemira suddenly glanced at Evelina, a mocking look in her eyes. "Why are you in such a hurry?"
"I... I'm part of the Langston family too. Of course I want to help."
Evelina's gaze was shifty, and she quickly looked down at Evander.
As expected, Evander continued to press Asher. "Asher, what clues have you found? Tell us already."
Asher remained silent.
Evander thought for a moment. "Asher, you don't want Lemira to know, do you? Good. She's a traitor, so we definitely shouldn't tell her. You can just tell me and Eve later."
A calculating glint appeared in Evelina's eyes. As long as she could control Evander, she could find out what Asher knew.
Asher nodded, then looked at Lemira. "Did you hear that? You're the one who ruined my plans. Do you still expect me to share my leads with you?"
Lemira's lips curled into a cold smirk. "But isn't Evelina the one who caused the scandal? What's the point of threatening me? Since we were kids, hasn't it always been Evelina making a mistake and me taking the blame?"
Asher's expression shifted. He turned to Evelina. "From this day forward, you have no connection to the Langston family. Move out."
He couldn't stand the sight of this foolish girl in his house any longer.
The video of her and Dorian had become the laughingstock of their social circle. He couldn't possibly let her stay.
Evelina panicked. "Asher, I know I deserve this. I failed to handle Dorian properly. If it will make you feel better, I'll leave."
"Who else is there to blame? You took all our assets to start your business, and after all this time, you still haven't made a name for yourself in Orvin. Who else is there to blame but you?"
After his outburst, Evander pulled Evelina closer. "Eve, let's go. From now on, you'll stay in my room. Let's see how Asher tries to kick you out then!"
A flicker of reluctance crossed Evelina's eyes, but when she saw Asher's icy glare, she knew he was dead set on throwing her out.
She had no choice but to go with Evander.
As they left, Lemira watched the 'two-faced' girl's retreating back. She was very curious to see how she would get out of this mess.
Asher turned his cold gaze on her. "Lemira, if you help me get back together with Stella, I'll tell you what I've found. How about it?"
He was certain she would agree.
