What Is She Hiding novel Chapter 3

I saw her ride in with Legend earlier that day. Legend, his brothers, and his mother are here but she isn't. I wonder why. From where I am sitting I can see inside her window. I saw her get up and get something to drink twice before sitting back in the chair she left. She never looked out the window over here to see what was going on.

Most girls would be over her flirting, dancing, and drinking. But not her. She acted like she didn't give a flying fuck what we were doing. I watched as she flipped threw her channels before she found something she wanted to watch. Two hours later I saw her checking the windows, and then shot the door before turning the living room lights out.

She must be going to bed. Who is the girl that lives in the house I asked Legend. My sister. How come she didn't come over to the introduction of you and Major? She prefers being alone. She doesn't go out and party. Not for a year now. She doesn't like being around a lot of men.

She also hates to be touched by people she doesn't know. So, she works, and goes home. Sometimes she takes her bike and goes riding. Or she visits friends. She doesn't talk much either. She is close to all of us but, she doesn't let too many people really know her. She is private and she is dangerous.

Dangerous how? One of my friends walked up behind her and grabbed her. She stabbed him. She didn't mean to and ever since then she stays away from people. She is a very angry person. I noticed the change when she came back home last year. She withdrew from us and always sits with her back to the wall.

And she doesn't hesitate to tell you if she doesn't like you. I wonder who hurt her. Usually someone that does that has been hurt and hurt bad. Physically, and mentally. I would guess that happened to your sister. Morning Star has never talked about where she had been or with who. She still hasn't.

Ripper looked at Legend. He didn't say anything. He just listened. So, she disappeared for a year. Is that what you are saying Legend. That's what I am saying. I have wondered if she just left like everyone said she did. I didn't believe it then, and I don't believe it now.

Good. Then we agree on that. We agree. Ripper, I look nice and meek and mild. But so help me god. If any of your members bother Morning Star, if she doesn't hurt them I will. Do we understand each other? Yes, mam. Good. Mom, do you know what happened to Morning Star the year she was gone?

That is not up for discussion Legend. Not now, not ever. We will be talking mom. All of us boys will want answers. That is too bad. You won't get them. You will not cause her to have the nightmares return. Do you understand me? Sure, mom. I will let it go for now. But not forever.

I watched as mom walked away from the table. I saw the tension in her. Whatever it was it was bad. And I will find out one day. If someone hurt my sister I will find them and I will make them pay for it.
