Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 2229

Inside the bathroom, Callum pouted, his blue eyes shimmering with tears.

He stood on the toilet lid and declared with his hands on his hip, "You're so mean, Daddy. She's my mommy, only mine! Of course she can bathe with me! She loves me the most!"

Nathaniel was busy running the bath, and his face turned grim as he replied, "She's my wife first, then your mom."

"But she doesn't want to be your wife, meanie! You can't even woo a girl. It's no wonder you're losing her!" Callum, young as he was, understood more than they realized.

"She might not be your wife in the future, but she'll always be my mommy," Callum boasted, wiggling his little bottom. "So, I'm better than you, Daddy! Mommy can bathe with me, not you!"

Outside, Mavis chuckled at their banter.

Callum was just too adorable.

However, someone inside the bathroom was not amused.

Nathaniel's brow furrowed as he turned on the shower, and his mood darkened as he walked toward his son.

Callum sensed the danger, and his expression changed instantly. He tried to escape, but his little legs were no match for Nathaniel's reach.

Suddenly, squeals erupted from the bathroom.

"Ah! Mommy, help me! Daddy's hitting me because he can't win with words! Ouch! Daddy's being mean!"

Mavis grew anxious as she heard the sound of the running water and loud slaps. She tried to open the door, but Nathaniel had locked it.

Left with no choice, she knocked. "Nathaniel, be nice and reason with him. Don't hit him."

"Mommy! Mommy!"

"Daddy, you're in trouble! Mommy will help me! Ow!"

Nathaniel winced, grabbing her fingers. "What was that for?"

"You know why. Is this how a father should act?"

Nathaniel sighed. "Boys can be playful at this age, and gentle parenting alone doesn't always work."

"But you should know your own strength. Look at these marks. He's only five. How could you treat him so roughly?"

Nathaniel sighed again, exasperated. "I barely used any force. It was more noise than anything, just to scare him a bit. The redness will fade in a few hours."

He rubbed his side. "Your pinch, on the other hand, will probably leave a bruise."

Mavis' anger subsided.

Changing the subject, she asked, "It's the weekend. Why did you bring Callum here? Do I need to take him back to the Nicholls residence for his tutoring in the morning?"
