Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 2167

The sudden news sent the entire crowd of reporters at the courthouse into an uproar.

Mavis and Evan were also left stunned.

Nathaniel had not shown up because he was in a car accident…

Elliot and Lionel exchanged glances, both falling silent.

Soon, the chaos grew louder as reporters scrambled to uncover details about which hospital Nathaniel had been taken to, and the scene outside the courthouse was becoming increasingly chaotic.

Lionel leaned closer to Elliot and whispered, "If this wasn't just a regular traffic accident but a criminal case, Nathaniel's whereabouts must be kept hidden."

Elliot nodded and began organizing things calmly, "Clear out the crowd at the courthouse. As long as the case is under investigation by the National Investigation Bureau, no one is allowed to ask questions until it's ready for public release. Lionel, you're coming with me to the hospital."

Then, he turned to Mavis and added, "We don't have much information yet, so we don't know how serious his injuries are. Do you want to come with us to the hospital?"

Mavis hesitated for a moment.

If Nathaniel's accident happened because he was rushing to get to the courthouse for their divorce, she felt responsible for what had happened.

Besides, they were still legally married.

Ignoring something like this did not sit well with her.

She nodded. "I'll go."

Evan quickly chimed in, "I'll go too."

Elliot glanced at him and firmly shut the idea down, "Unrelated individuals can't come. If there's a breach of any National Investigation Bureau case details, you'll be held accountable."

Evan clearly felt the sting of rejection, his expression turning awkward.

As soon as Mavis entered, she noticed Nathaniel's left leg in a cast.

Although his face was a bit pale, he seemed to be in good spirits, indicating that his injuries were not too serious.

Nathaniel's sharp eyes narrowed slightly as they briefly lingered on Mavis's face before shifting to Elliot, who was leading the group.

He smirked and said, "It's just a minor injury. I'm honored that you both came to see me in person."

It was clearly a polite remark, and Elliot did not bother with any formalities in return.

With just a glance, Troy and Tommy quickly stood, bowed slightly, and left the room.

"What exactly happened?" Elliot asked as he approached the bed.

Nathaniel's expression remained relaxed. "It was just a small accident. I was on my way to the courthouse when a large truck went out of control and crashed into me. I guess I'm lucky to be alive. I only got my leg injured."
