Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 2114

Callum snorted.

With hands on his hips, he declared seriously, "I'm a little man, and it's my duty to protect Mommy. Daddy, you're a big meanie. You can't bully Mommy or chase her away."

As he spoke, he grabbed his stuffed toy from the bedside table and hurled it at Nathaniel.

Although it did not hurt, Nathaniel disapproved of the behavior.

Nathaniel's expression grew stern as he scolded, "Callum, this isn't the place for you to act out or throw tantrums. Don't forget, we still need to discuss your little stunt of running away today."

The mention of his escape made Callum shrink back instantly.

He pulled the blanket over his head and curled into a ball, mumbling stubbornly, "Daddy, you're so mean! You're the meanest of all!"

Nathaniel could not help but chuckle softly.

He was reminded of Mavis calling him the most annoying person she knew.

It seemed both mother and son shared that trait, equally exasperating.

"Callum," Nathaniel said as he gently pulled the blanket off his son, his large hand giving Callum a light pat on the backside.

His tone softened as he asked, "Do you want to see Mommy every day?"

Callum's interest piqued immediately.

He lifted his head, eyes wide with curiosity.

"Of course I do! But would you really be that nice?"

Nathaniel smiled and whispered, "Well, let's play a little game."

The rain fell against the window, the colorful city lights reflecting off the wet glass, creating a strangely beautiful scene.

However, Mavis had no time to appreciate it—she had fallen asleep.

Suddenly, there was a knocking at the door, and it was loud and insistent.

Mavis was woken up by the noise.

"Don't worry, Mommy. I didn't get wet! I used my umbrella."

He even thought of bringing an umbrella.

Mavis could not resist planting a kiss on his soft cheek. "Callum, you're so smart."

He giggled, a little embarrassed.

Then, he let out a couple of sneezes.

"Come in quickly before you catch a cold."

She took the damp umbrella from his hand and led him into the bedroom.

"Wow! It's Mommy's bed!" Callum exclaimed as he jumped onto the bed, spreading his arms and legs, laughing happily.

Mavis put the umbrella in the bathroom to dry before returning to the bedroom.

She sat on the edge of the bed, looking at him seriously. "Alright, Callum. Tell me the truth. How did you know I was here? And how did you manage to sneak out all the way to this apartment? Was this Nathaniel's idea? What kind of game are you two playing?"
