Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1735

Jacintha hurried forward, scooping Adora into her arms and soothing her gently.

"There, there, Adora dear. Mommy and Daddy are busy with very, very important things. They're so amazing that they have to protect many other people, not just you and Asher."

Despite Jacintha's comforting words, five-year-old Adora did not fully grasp it all.

She nibbled on her fingers, her eyes reddened from crying, looking adorable and pitiful.

"I miss Mommy…"

Lionel had no choice but to video call Sheena.

As soon as Adora saw Sheena's face on the screen, her tears stopped.

She clutched the phone tightly, tears still glistening in her eyes.

"Mommy… when are you coming back? I miss you so much. Daddy said he'd be with me and Asher, but now he's not home."

Though Jacintha and Lionel cared for them well, they were not their parents.

Children always longed most for their mom and dad.

Seeing her little one tearful tugged at Sheena's heart.

She comforted Adora, saying, "I'll just need a few more days before I can come back. Be good at Uncle Lionel's and Aunt Jacintha's. I promise to come home when I'm done here, okay?"

Jacintha chimed in, knowing Sheena could not return yet. She joined in to reassure Adora until she calmed down.

Asher stood quietly beside them the whole time, saying nothing.

He was a little gentleman, keeping his feelings to himself even when missing his mom.

After a few safety reminders to Sheena, he hurried off without another word.

Evening fell, and Sheena rubbed her temples, feeling a headache coming on.

Just as night had fallen in Gurenchti, another call came through.

This time from an unknown number without a location displayed.

Sheena answered cautiously, "Who's this?"

"Ms. Lawson, it's me."

They did not know Omari's characters just yet.

If he was anything like Giorgio, he could pose trouble for Mavis.

Though Sheena was more attractive compared to Mavis, these big shots knew she was married to Elliot and would not be foolish enough to vie for her.

In contrast, Mavis, who had not publicly announced her marriage, might catch their attention more easily.

Fifteen minutes later, Mavis's new look was complete.

Sheena had braided her blonde hair and deliberately adorned her with large black-framed glasses with clear lenses, toning down her striking eyes and giving her a more naive appearance.

Additionally, Sheena used an eyebrow pencil to draw freckles on her face.

With her beauty concealed, Mavis looked like a simple, country girl.

Looking at her reflection, Sheena nodded in satisfaction.

"Now you look like a proper diplomat."

As she finished speaking, Raymond's call came in.
